Real-time cold chain monitoring


Available on all Dulas refrigerators, the Dulas Vaccine Guard is a self-contained wireless device used to
record and report the temperature inside vaccine refrigerators, sending information to a simple
dashboard that the customer can monitor.

Regular updates
Vaccine Guard automatically measures and records the temperature of your cold chain equipment
every ten minutes.

Automatic alerts
If the temperature varies from the specified range, the Vaccine Guard immediately alerts the customer
via SMS and/or email.

Improved reliability
Applying Remote Temperature Monitoring technology to vaccine storage is a simple way to improve
the reliability of cold chain equipment, facilitate maintenance and ensure fewer vaccines are spoiled.

Online portal
Facility Monitoring portal
The online portal gives you a full overview of your cold chain equipment in real-time. You have the
ability to view data recorded over the last 30 days.

You can view and export data at different levels:

National: Get a full overview of all the live cold chain equipment installed within your country

Regional: See data from every live refrigerator installed within a selected region

Health Centre: View and export live data from a specific location

Accessing data

Step 1. Open the portal


To view the cold chain facility monitoring portal, use
your internet browser to visit fm.live.controlant.com

Step 2. Log in
To access data, you will need to log in with the details
you have been provided.

Level
When you first view the portal, the default view
shows data at a National level. For the purposes of
this presentation, the screens display example data
for cold chain equipment in Togo.

Before exporting data, please double-check this title,


as it will display the level at which you are currently
viewing.

Overview
Once you have logged in, you will see your country’s
Overview page. Displayed under this tab are Active Events
and Collections & Assets:

Active Events
If there is an event happening in live time that falls outside
the normal parameters, it will show up in this section.

Collections & Assets


Here, you will find a list of every region that contains live
cold chain equipment. You can click on a region to view
specific health centres.

This key shows the current status of each region:

Alert Subscriptions
Here, you can subscribe to email and SMS notifications
for excursion alerts. This means if a refrigerator requires
maintenance or its temperature moves above or below
the safe limits, you will receive a notification.

You can use the tick boxes to select the types of


notifications you would like to receive.

Event Log
The Event Log shows historical data over a set time frame.
You can set the time frame using the dropdown menu.

If multiple events appear, you can use the filter function to


view specific data types.

The default view shows the Classification type, Start and


End times, Event source (location) and an Event ID.

Click on the [+] icon to find out more information about


each event. If you click onto an event shown in bold, it will
show you detailed graphical information.

Reports
From this tab view, you can set parameters for any data
you would like to export.

You can use the dropdown menus to set the Report


Interval (for regularly repeating reports), the date and time
parameters and the time zone.

Name your report and add an optional description using


the text entry fields. Optionally, you can include
temperature and humidity data in the report.

Finally, use the tick boxes to select all health centres that
you would like to gather data for.

The report may take a minute or two to appear, but once


finished, you can view or download it as a PDF.

Admin view: User Management
Normal users
This role is normally set for health centre workers,
regional managers and technicians

Admin users
This administrator role is normally set for fewer people,
including equipment manufacturers and UNICEF, for
example

As an administrator, you can assign users from this


screen.

A top-level administrator has additional permissions


and can promote ‘Normal users’ to ‘Admin users’.

Admin view: Alert Subscriptions
An administrator also has the ability to subscribe other
users to alerts, as shown opposite.

A top-level administrator is able to reset a Normal


User’s password.
