Once upon a time, there lived an old shoemaker with his wife. Both of them worked hard for their
living. The old shoemaker tired easily and so he became very slow at his work.

One night, he could not finish working on a pair of new shoes. He left his work on the table and went
to bed. The next morning he was surprised to find the shoes nicely done for him. That night he got ready
the pieces of leather for another pair of shoes. He thought he would work on them the next day, but he
awoke to find another new pair of shoes completed for him.

His customer was extremely happy with the shoes. She paid him double the price for them. The
shoemaker did not simply spend his money. Instead he used it to buy food quality leather. Every night he
put out the things to make shoes and the same magical thing happened.

His wife then thought they should find out who came to work on the shoes for them. That night they
hid behind the cupboard in the shop. Exactly at midnight, two elves came in. they worked fast and left.
The shoemaker’s wife decided to reward them. She made new clothes for them.
