who have joined digitally.

A very warm morning to all. I, Dr. Ankita Tandon Faculty MBA SRMSCET would take
this privilege to welcome you all in the 2ndInternational Conference on “Emerging Issues
on Contemporary Business Practices in the Era of Intelligence” (EICBI). This
conference is being organized in association with UN Global Compact Network India and
Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow.

Today we are organizing our 2nd International Conference on “Emerging Issues on

Contemporary Business Practices in the Era of Intelligence” (EICBI). This
Conference is intended to offer an interactive platform to equip the leaders of concurrent
generation with the knowledge and skills to manage the innovation in today’s dynamic
global arena.

Truly SRMS has enriched all of us to gain practical insights on various perspectives
through its strong academic and industry interface. It is indeed a matter of great pride not
only for us but for all the entire learned fraternity to have realized the importance of such
initiatives taken by SRMS over the years.

I congratulate the conference organizers and feel greatly thankful for the presence of
several eminent personalities and leading lights from the world of Academia and industry.

As we know, Business entities have changed drastically in the last few years; this has
created many opportunities, challenges and standards for businesses in global and
domestic arenas. The contemporary business environment is extremely competitive and is
forming a difficult landscape for the stakeholders. Mature market companies facing
economic and social shrinkages at home; look to expand their horizons into neighboring
countries and the developed world. Most businesses, one way or another, have to rely on
software and technical innovation in order to be competitive.

However, as the technological topography changes at a very rapid pace, this can be an
expensive, time-consuming and complicated ordeal to deal with. The diminishing
prospects, slowing growth, operational complexity, and the dearth of talent in key markets
have raised the challenge to arrive at a shared understanding of innovation and awareness
to generate greater value for all for the people we serve, the organizations we lead and the
societies to which we belong. Hence coping with such pressures calls for modern Business
proposition which can go beyond developing a good product, pricing it attractively and
making it accessible.

The topic chosen for this conference brings relevance and carries great contemporary

1. Today we have amongst us Dr. Hamid Saremi, President (Chancellor), Assrar

Higher Institute of Education, Mashad, Iran who has given his kind consent to be
part of our conference. I feel extremely honoured to introduce Dr. Hamid who has
more than 30 years of experience in field of teaching, research and administration.
He owns a doctorate degree in commerce.

He has served many universities and education institutions throughout his carrier. He has
guided many PhD. and mastered number of candidates in the field of financial
management, human resource management, cost accounting and finance.

He has served as a Vice Chancellor of Azad Islamic University of Iran in Brigand. Dr.
Hamid is member of various management and accounting associations of Iran and India.
He has published more than 100 papers in reputed international and national journals and
also a member of various journal advisories and editorial boards.
Dr. Hamid is indeed a renowned personality and a well-known name in the field of
Academia and it’s my proud privilege to request him for his warm key note address on
this glorious occasion of 2nd International Conference.

2. This quote correctly symbolizes the unparalleled contribution by Prof. (Dr.) Bhimaraya
Metri, Director at IIM Nagpur in the field of education who has been kind enough to have
accepted our invitation as the chief guest of the day.

Though his accolades are many, but his brief introduction is as follows:

Dr. Bhimaraya Metri took charge as the new director of the Indian Institute of
Management Nagpur on October 6, 2020.

Prior to joining IIM Nagpur, Dr. Metri has served as the Director of IIM Trichy, following
stints at the L&T Institute of Project Management Vadodara, MDI Gurgaon, IMI New
Delhi, and BITS Pilani. A Ph.D from IIT Powai, he is also an alumnus of the government
college of engineering, Karad and Shivaji University, Kolhapur.

He has carved a reputation for himself with his experience in teaching, research and
administration with a number of national and international institutions of note. He has
published 100 papers in international and national journals & conference proceedings.
Currently he is serving as chairperson of various national institutions, such as the All India
Board of Management Studies, AICTE, New Delhi; AIMA board of studies, New Delhi,
and HR & Innovation Committee, Bureau of Indian Standards, New Delhi. Dr. Metri
trained more than 100 Vice Chancellors of state and central universities and more than
1000 deans/ Directors/ Principals/ HODs of technical institutions including NITs under
TEQIP. Designed and directed large number of MDPs for senior and top management
professionals in government, public and private sector organization.

He is also a member of the prestigious Indian National Commission for Cooperation with
UNESCO( INCCU) under the chairmanship of Shri Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘ Nishank’ ji, the
Hon’ble Minister of Education , Government of India.

Currently, Dr. Metri is member of Decision Sciences Institute(DSI), Houston, Texas,

USA. Truly he exhibits an exemplary example of having an incredible professional
journey marking the fact that “Every act worth doing has a learning curve”

to enhance productivity, business value and customer satisfaction.

He has undertaken Program Mentorship and Management for multiple technology projects
to translate customer needs into clear framework. Moreover, he Monitored projects with
respect to schedule milestones, cost, resource development, time over-runs, quality
compliance and manpower.

 Mr. Anurag hasan enriching experience in Technical Architecture, Predictive

Analytics and Digital Transformation. He is a man of technical and analytical
abilities with par excellence.
