President’s Message

Digital disruption is not merely about introducing new technology or investing in the latest
equipment; it’s about using digital ecosystems to change relationships, improve
performance, and challenge the status quo in terms of the way things are done.

Technology is enabling an amplifying the potential of the people. In the pre-liberalisation

era, we have limited sources of knowledge as compared to now we are connected with
huge data resources.

Technology has immense potential that it will be able to fulfil the aspirations of people.
Technology isn’t disrupting, but humans are. We need to change and change is the constant.
Organisations doesn’t change but people do change.

Organisations need to understand the effects of disruption that technology bringing in and

have to take an appropriate decision to create and innovate in the digital world.

These disruptions are all coming together to build smarter workplaces, helping people

connect and collaborate to drive positive business outcomes and build relationships. It’s
inevitable then that human interactions are impacted, when technology pervades every
corner of our lives.

I heartily congratulate the Director, faculty and staff for the research journal on the
contemporary topic in the business world.

Editors Message

The digital revolution also means organizations have an opportunity to be driven,

and education institutions are not the exception.

The concept of traditional education has changed radically within the last couple of years. Being
physically present in a classroom isn’t the only learning option anymore — not with the rise of the
internet and new technologies, at least. Nowadays, you have access to a quality education whenever
and wherever you want, as long as you have access to a computer. We are now entering a new era
— the revolution of online education.

Most of the schools, colleges and universities across India and globe have shifted their base to virtual
platforms to conduct online classes. Online education has emerged as one of the alternatives to
ordinary face to face classes.

This disruption is happening not only in education but all across all domains and it is imperative to
understand and learn the different facets of the digital disruption and the alternatives being
provided to the modern day businesses.

It is an effort by the institute to bring forth this volume of the journal on the theme of ‘ Digital
Disruption’ . I am sure that this journal will provide a valuable insight for all reader and they will
appreciate the rich content of the journal.

I would thank the authors for their contribution and the editorial board for their efforts in coming
forth with this issue of the journal.
