VERSION2

General information
The footbrake valve, which is mounted on the inner dash, has an electrical and a pneumatic part. The electric part is
used when the system is fault free and determines how much brake force is to be distributed to the different wheels.
The pneumatic part is a back-up circuit if the electric system fails.

For abbreviations seeAbbreviations.

Component: Foot brake valve (6077), control unit EBS (9082).

Component VERSION2: Sensor, footbrake valve (B03); Control unit, EBS (electronic brake system) (A21).

Cable harness: 1057, 1481.

Cable harness VERSION2: 1000, 1007, 1501.

Fault code

FMI 2
Intermittent or incorrect data.

Conditions for fault code:

If the voltage on the modulator's inputs from the footbrake valve is lower than 0.3 V or higher than 4.6 V, the control
unit interprets this as a fault and a fault code is set.
If the total voltage from both sensors in the footbrake valve is not constant, the control unit interprets this as a fault and
a fault code is set.
Possible cause:
Faulty foot brake valve.
Interruption in the cables between the control unit and footbrake valve.
Short circuit to earth in the cables between the control unit and the footbrake valve.
Short circuit to voltage in the cables between the control unit and the footbrake valve.
Reaction from the control unit:
