B. COURSE OBJECTIVES

The course aims to provide students in exploring variety of interactive information communication technology tools by
combining relevant and effective pedagogy across curricula. The design and development of all materials is based on the
application of teaching design systems with creative and innovative teaching designs. Affirmation will be given to the 21st
century learning approach by using the latest and relevant interactive technology. Hands-on learning activities are used to
ensure the sustainability of learning among students.

PROJECT, ASSIGNMENT AND SIMULATION

20% Week 7
PROJECT PAPER– ePortfolio (Dr Siti Zuraidah) 20 %
Students are required to propose a project paper to design their own
e-Portfolio using Weebly/Wix/Mahara/GoogleSite or any other
platform that suitable.

The Project Paper should contain the design of e-portfolio platform

PROJECT – ePortfolio (Dr Siti Zuraidah) 40 %


Students are required to develop their own e-Portfolio in 40% Week 14
mahara@usm.my (login via elearning.usm.my —>>Network
Services —->> Home-EPortfolioUSM) or any others platform such
as Weebly/Wix/GoogleSite or any others platform that suitable.

The e-Portfolio should contain:


Students’ background, teaching philosophy, progress of learning to
become a teacher from day 1 till now, at least one micro-teaching
video, photos of your journey as a student and self-reflections
The e-Portfolio should also shows/includes creativity in presenting
students own self, materials use in teaching/microteaching/class
presentation, feedbacks from your lecturers/friends about the
students, CV and any activities involved by in USM

Simulation (Dr. Siti Mastura) – 30%

Using Wix.com as the platform for this assignment, students are 30% Week 13-
required to develop a website collaboratively in a group of four. Each
group are required to assign a leader that will take control of Week 15
monitoring the progress and will submit report each week of the
website. The content of the website will be based on the current
trend and technology of education locally and globally. Students are
required to develop a video to be embed in the website. However,
students are advised to choose their tool freely as there are many
free available tools online.

Presentation (Dr Siti Mastura) - 10%


Students are required to do a presentation of their website online
either synchronous or asynchronous. 10%
