PRESENT PERFECT
Use the present perfect when you want to refer (1) to a situation that originated in the past but
continues into the present or (2) to refer to a past experience that has a current relevance.

FUTURE PERFECT
Use the future perfect when you want to refer to a future action, state, or event that will be
completed by a specific time in the future.
FUTURE ACTIONS: By next week, she will have completed the course.
FUTURE STATE: In 2025, we will have known each other for twenty years.
A. Complete each sentence with the future perfect form of the verb in parentheses.

B. Forming negatives. To make a future perfect negative, place not after will. Example: will not
have gone.
B1. Make each sentence negative. Be sure to use the subject and the future perfect form of
the verb provided.
