Introduction:

Both the school system and higher education runs from January to December academic year in
Bangladesh. The University Grants Commission (UCG) directed all private universities to use
semester systems. Although Public Universities follow yearly system but Due to Covid-19 all
universities were closed and there is an uncertainty that when these universities will be opened.

Since March 17 all the universities and educational institutes were closed and the government
has now extended the closure. ("Schools, universities closed till May 30", 2020)
