According to Lazaro's account, Mount Tala was the execution site of the Bonifacio

brothers. Why the official site is Mount Nagpatong (both mountains are located in
Maragondon, Cavite)? Research on this and cite your sources.

In an interview with Atty. Gregorio Bonifacio, the great great grandson of Procopio
Bonifacio, the bones of Andres Bonifacio were unearthed in Mount Nagpatong, found by
Guillermo Masangkay in a sugarcane field who headed a committee in charge of finding his
bones. Epifanio delos Santos was the one who certified that the bones of Andres Bonifacio were
true and authentic. The bones were then displayed at the National Library and Museum. But
during World War II, the Philippines was invaded by Japan in 1941. The bones were lost due to
the widespread destruction and looting during the Allied capture of Manila in February 1945.
This contradicts the statement of Lazaro Makapagal which claimed that the execution site of the
Bonifacio brothers was in Mount Tala.

Moreover, Andres and Procopio Bonifacio were supposedly brought to Mount Tala in
Maragondon, Cavite, but as soon as they reached Hulog, a barrio within the vicinity of Mount
Nagpatong and near Mount Buntis which is also located in Maragondon, Cavite, Andres sensed
something tragic might happen to them and suggested then that Lazaro Makapagal open the letter
of instruction given him by Gen. Mariano Noriel on what to do with his prisoners. The order
revealed that the Bonifacio brothers will be executed through a firing squad and a serious
punishment waits for Makapagal if he would fail to execute them. That was when one of his
soldiers shot Procopio first and Andres allegedly tried to escape and ran into the woods but was
eventually found and killed by Makapagal and his soldiers. And because of that, they were not
able to reach Mount Tala.
