Introduction
Digital skills refer to the skills required for 21st-century people Technology-based knowledge
strongly connected with skills and content. Web applications made it easier contents sharing with
students and co-worker (Adhima, 2017). In addition, proper web applications provide easier
communications between channel and potential customers. In this digital age, skills and content
both essential for enriching the learning ability. However, information technology developed
communication technology and now knowledge and communication embedded with digital
technology in a way that integrated all aspects of our life. This report will cover two different
web-based communication service features and their application and business for their
operational suitability. ClickMeeting and Cisco Jabber selected to compare their features and
applications suitability for the businesses.

Comparing and contrasting the features of ClickMeeting and Cisco Jabber
Web conferencing services refers to online communications by computer and internet services
with remote people for live meetings, conferences, training, presentations and interviews (Ford,
2013). That allows real-time interactions from both sides and reduces distant communications
with channels. A short comparison of two web conferencing service features as follows;

Application and suitability for businesses
The business that always need to host live the training and meetings, clickMeeting is excellent
video conferencing tools for the companies. Besides these, organisations those need to train the
Salesforce in scheduled time, ClickMeeting has exciting features for conducting attendee’s
statistics and polls from Salesforce. Besides these, critical features like instant two ways of
communication, private chat, screen sharing can enrich participant’s experiences
(Clickmeeting.com, 2019). Their three service plans for enterprises starts from $25 unlocked
different features as demand for the webinars (Ford, 2013). Besides, another positive feature of
ClickMeeting application is participants gets invitation via phone or mail if those failed to
participate in scheduled time. But one downside feature of clickMeeting is that their customer
support only available by email but live chat open only five days.

Similarly, Cisco Jabber has many suitable features for businesses. Comparatively, Jabber has a
wide variety of functions than ClickMeeting. So, it’s ideal for large and medium-sized business
organisation. In addition, based on pricing and only premium and cloud hosting systems, Jabber
supports a limited applications like as; SAP, SharePoint, Office 365, IBM Notes etc. its widely
known as unified communication service provider. Business those need quick communication
and instant messaging, Jabber would be suitable for them. Another benefit of Cisco Jabber is it
reduces the communication delay, enables immediate participation for the member. Enterprise
those seeking high security, efficient and distant collaboration, Cisco Jabber is suitable for
their business operations.

To do research, internet surfing ability assist to explore right information collecting and
evaluating with appropriate analyse adoption relevant with subject line. Students and researchers
are taking online help that shaping the research. Below significant skills required for evaluating
research online;

Checking the sources


In assessing a research, these skills could be a benchmark to assess the website information.
Because, information cited in the report need to validate, accurate in terms of reliability and
social context. Many sources on the research may be written down without permission of the
author. So, checking the sources is one of the challenging tasks for the students as well as
academician to evaluate the research in more proficient and professional way. Citation and
sources of authors must be quoted appropriately as it increases the reliability of the research
paper. While evaluating the sources like information could be sourced from government site,
university journal site. Besides, research paper

Search skills
This skill is essential for students including me. To know a term or to search a term in proper
ways displays the lots of quality of information. Besides, altering the search term like changing
the synonyms can improve the search quality in Google search toolbar. Students should
consolidate the basic internet surfing skills, for example, accurate punctuation and spelling for
the same search items. For evaluating one research, student should check the information from
multiple sources for cross-checking the information.

Organizing bookmarks
During the research project, student doesn’t take it seriously to manage their bookmarks. As lots
of data and information taken from different journals, it becomes easier for the student to make
appropriate use of bookmarks. Taking expert academician’s help or YouTube video could be
valuable resources for the students (Van Deursen, 2016).

Be patient
Online research evaluations take long time. Hence, students display emotional resilience while
evaluating the research. Few minutes surfing on internet, students get frustrated because each
chapter of the research paper contains lots of illustration, boxes and exercises. While team
working for research evaluation, this can reduce the frustration while together poking online.

Challenges being faced while conducting research online


While conducting different research and including assignment, I encountered several problems
because of lack of skills in evaluating the research online. Some of them are given below;

Advance search technique


I have basic searching skill but for effective evaluation of the research, advance searching on
different journal site can query them effectively. Later, I should teach them from my classmates
how to use the custom search with keyword and filtering option. Often I stumbled on the page
containing lot of graphical image including information. I have to learn some research tricky for
effective search on Google toolbar and journal search engine. This will enable me to get the right
information quickly and accurately.

Managing the bookmarks


I took it easily that bookmarks managing won’t take more time. As I trawled with more data, I
made complex since ineffective search using built-in bookmark manager. However, bookmark
add-on facility in firebox finally made it easier for me. My initial effort was by installing
software followed by creating subfolders. But it takes lots of time. Installing add-on on Browser
now I can easily see which website link is tagging to find these site in future (Reeves, 2012).

Conclusion
In sum, business seeking for reliable sources of communication service providers who can is it
reduces the communication delay, enables quick participation for the member. Enterprise those
seeking high security, efficient and distant collaboration, variety of unified communication
provider provides suitable for their business operations (wagner, lentz and heslop, 2015).
Business to choose the communication service providers based on their suitability on businesses,
devices support, pricing, and language features etc. Web conferencing services refers to online

students and academician have to conduct research and project, Students and researchers are
taking online help that shaping the research. In this digital age, essential online research skills
indispensable for enriching the learning ability.
