INTERNSHIP POLICY

1. GENERAL
The purpose of this policy is to lay down the guidelines for provision of internships
to students in the organization.

2. AIM OF INTERNSHIP
The aim is to provide opportunities to students for the practical implementation of
the classroom knowledge in a work setting by developing in them
analytical, communication, administrative and research skills. This will
give students real world understanding derived through first-hand experience. This
will help them compare their abilities and interests with requirements in particular
field.

3. CRITERIA FOR SELECTING INTERNEES


a. Preferably student for Bachelors, or Master degree program. However student of
any other level may also be considered
b. Student may provide an internship recommendation letter issued by the
college/university/institute. And student should also provide:
 A copy of resume
 A copy of transcripts etc

4. DURATION OF INTERNSHIP
Total duration of internship, normally, would be of 6 to 8 weeks. However, HR
department may determine the duration based on the internship requirements as and
when required.

5. PLACEMENT OF INTERNSHIP
Company will offer internships, normally, during summer holidays. But may
consider a case at any other time of the year as well, depending on the
recommendations and requirements shared by the respective
college/university/institute. HR department will coordinate with other
departments/branches and determine number of internships available within the
company, and initialize placement accordingly.

6. HR DEPARTMENT
All internships will be routed through Human Resource department. The student
will provide his/her recommendation letter from college/university/institute to HR
department. After reviewing the provided information regarding the objective, area
of interest the student will be referred to the concerned department. HR department

will issue an internship letter to the student and a copy will to shared with the
concerned supervisor at branch/department.

7. EVALUATION
Performance of internee will be evaluated by his/her supervisor based on the tasks
accomplishments within the scheduled time. The report will be shared by the
respective supervisor of the branch/department with the Human Resource
department and internee should give presentation on the report by the end of the
internship & it should be signed by related Supervisor. HR department will then
issue the internship completion certificate to the student.

8. STIPEND
HR department will determine whether the internship will be paid or non-paid
based on the internship requirements and company’s remuneration plans. For paid
internships a market-competitive stipend, with the consent of CEO, will be paid to
internee.
