Working from Home Arrangements:

Working from home arrangements means employees are doing their job work staying at home
using technologies. In the situation of COVID19 industries are running their businesses and
doing their work from home. Companies provides guidelines to their employees that how they
can work effectively staying at home. Most of the companies working from home arrangements
are same. For example, I am showing the arrangements of SANOFI which is a pharmaceutical
company.
Working from home arrangements for SANOFI-
• Work from Home requires employee to complete work commitment. The employee must
be available for phone calls, zoom calls, skype and email during standard office hours
(8:30am to 5:00pm) while working from home.
• For any urgent issue if employee need to come to office, he or she should speak to
functional manager for direction and inform Business Continuity Coordinator.
• If employee working from home needs to go offline/out of network, he/she must inform
line manager.
• If employee working from home cannot attend meetings/calls/or be online for most of the
day, he/she needs to apply for a leave.
• When working from home, the employee must ensure that all documentation is stored
securely and that any laptop or PC is password protected and turned off when not in use.
• Employees will remain subject to all confidentiality clauses applicable to them while
working from home.
• Sanofi's HSE policy remains applicable to employees working at home.
• It is the responsibility of the employee to care for their own Health and Safety and report
to Sanofi about any issues/accidents sustained while working at home.
• Employees availing work from home should ensure they have laptop, phone, and good
network connectivity at their home.
• IT equipment provided to the employee is for the exclusive use of that employee alone.
The employee is not permitted to allow family members or friends to use IT equipment
provided to them.
Almost all the companies have some common arrangements like have to have a network
connection, zoom or goggle meet excess for meetings, create own dedicated workspace,
set up a daily work routine, take some rest when get too exhausted, create a safe and
effective work place to work, connect constantly colleagues, managers and direct report
manager etc.
