The SA Bulb Company is a specialist nursery owned by Leigh & Johann Nieuwoudt. We also co-created
and managed the multiple award winning Simply Indigenous Nursery Hartbeespoortdam for almost 2
decades and we were partners in Penrock Seeds & Plants for over 5 years until our business partner in
Penrock passed away.

This division of our business focuses on select South African bulbs that are either very rare, or the
specimens are large or mature or the bulbs have special characteristics in their growth habit, foliage or
flower colour. We are focusing on beautiful foliage including Gethyllis, Eriospermum, Drimia,
Ledebouria, Drimiopsis, Albuca, Ornithogalum, Resnova, Massonia, Daubenya, Hessea, Strumaria,
Haemanthus & other rare genera. Some stock is very limited and is sold on a STRICTLY FIRST COME
FIRST SERVE BASIS.

Payment Methods:
We accept payment via International Bank Transfer & Paypal. If you are unfamiliar with our terms and
conditions, please refer to the general bulb list for THE SA BULB COMPANY which clearly stipulates all the
details in doing business with us.
If you would like to see what the leaves or flowers of any of the species below look like before you place
your order, email us and we will email the photo to you IF WE HAVE ONE AVAILABLE (please note that if
you want to use our photos to resell any of these bulbs, you must acknowledge Johann Nieuwoudt as the
