INVITATION FOR APPLICATION

FOR BACKYARD RAS PROJECT IMPLEMENTION

National Fisheries Development Board (NFDB) invites application for implementation

of Backyard Re-circulatory Aquaculture System (RAS) from interested
individuals/farmers/Self-help group/Institution. Applicants are advised to go through the
applications and instructions carefully before the filling up the application form.

Filled up application shall be submitted along with required documents addressed the
Director, National Centre for Aquatic Animal Health, Cochin University of Science &
Technology (CUSAT), Kochin-682016, Kerala with inscriptions on the top of the envelope as
“Application for Backyard-RAS”. The application form along with the checklist of documents
to be submitted is enclosed. Queries if any may be referred in writing to the following
mentioned address and telephone Number.

ARRANGE THE DOCUMENTS AS PER THE ABOVE SERIALS AND SUBMIT ALONG WITH THE
APPLICATION FORM.
General Instructions:

1. The maximum unit cost for Capital & Operational is Rs. 5.60 Lakh and Rs. 1.40 Lakh for Input.
2. The maximum nos. of units shall be restricted to 2units/beneficiary and 5/SHGs. For Govt.
institute, corporative society, groups/forums, it will be restricted to one unit for
demonstration purpose only.
3. Beneficiary shall produce all the above-required documents, failing which the application shall
not be considered
4. Selection of beneficiary shall be done collectively by NFDB and NCAAH, CUSAT. The decision
ofNFDB shall be final and binding in the selection process.
5. Subsidy pattern will be 60:40 (NFDB: Beneficiary) for ST/SC/Women and 40:60 for
General/OBC. For Govt. Institute and other bodies, subsidy shall be as per the existing CSS-
Blue Revolution Norms.
6. The species of fishes permitted by the Govt. of India only shall be culture.
7. NFDB shall not be responsible for any loss/damages caused due to any natural calamity or any
other causes and shall pay no compensation whatsoever.
8. Officials of NFDB/NCAAH/Department of Fisheries of concerned states shall have the access
to the unit whenever required for carrying out inspection or demonstration/field day
activities.
9. Any issues regarding implementation of the scheme shall be sorted out by discussing with
NCAAH and NFDB. In case of any irreconcilable differences, this decision of the CE, NFDB shall
be final and lessee shall abide by it.
10. Further disputes, if any arising out of the project shall be settled within the jurisdiction of
Hyderabad court only.
