INTRODUCTION TO THE REDESIGNED USER EXPERIENCE
We’ve taken the employee and manager self-service pages to the next level by redesigning them to look and behave the same
on desktop and mobile devices. We’ve also changed the look and feel of the pages to provide a better experience for end users.

Pages and messages look more modern and use simpler, more conversational language so that you can more easily read and
understand content across all devices.

Personal Information Page Redesigned to Look More Modern
The pages are clutter-free and clean and display only those fields that are required to complete the task. You can personalize
the pages and add more fields that are hidden by default.

For most self-service tasks, you’re asked what you want to do, and the task is broken down into a series of steps based on your
choice.

PRODUCT FEATURE HIDDEN, DISPLAYED AND CONDITIONALLY DISPLAYED FIELDS
The responsive user experience pages by default display the frequently used fields and hide the less frequently used fields. This
chapter helps you to identify what fields are displayed, conditionally displayed, or hidden in the products. If there are hidden fields
your company wants to display, you can personalize the responsive pages using Page Composer. Visibility of fields displayed
either as delivered or enabled using Page Composer can then be controlled using the new HCM Page Configurator tool. Use
HCM Page Configurator to control the availability of fields and sections of a transaction for new redesigned transactions by legal
employer and role.
For information on how to personalize mobile pages using the new tool HCM Page Configurations, refer to the following:
- 18B HCM Cloud Common Features What’s New, under Redesigned User Experience, the feature is called HCM
Page Configurations Simplified.
For information on how to personalize pages using Page Composer, refer to the following:
- Read the Oracle Applications Cloud: Configuring and Extending Applications Guide - Chapter 3 on Page
Customization
- Watch the Developer Relations Page Composer on the Oracle YouTube channel.
The following tables contain complete lists of all attributes on the redesigned pages and the default display status of each.
