Assignment-1

The difference between both the theories is, behaviorism theory focuses mainly on how
the person’s surrounding and environment can help in changing in the behavior of the
person and sociocultural theory can help to understand what a person learns how they
are taking control of what they do in the process. when a child grow, As time goes by,
their experiences begin to mold and shape the person that they become, comes under
behaviourism But in young, individuals try to grab the new information by watching
how others are acting this comes under the sociocultural learning theories. We can say
for instant; people are more likely to learn the behavior if they believe that there will be
any particular response (behaviorism) where as sociocultural learning theories look
more for the mental process, they also tell us that change in the formal of new
information that is being stored for in the memory for learning new skills.

In a classroom, I see behaviourism as more easy way of approach to guide the

behaviour. The common example to site can be student’s actions. This could be both a
positive and a negative encounter for the student. When a medical student answered a
question correctly in a class, the teacher starts praising the student for paying attention.
The other students in the class acknowledge this accomplishment. This positive
feedback make the student to try hard and do well in school, in search of a similar
response. Sociocultural theory may influence the a way that the teacher sets up the
classroom and teaching plans ,a teacher may encourage the classroom to spilt off into
groups and work on the project within themselves or teachers encourage some of the
medical students who are aced in certain concepts to tutor others students who are
struggling.
