INT. INTERROGATION ROOM. DAY.

We are inside of an interrogation room, with someone, a boy,


18 years old. He's Connor. He's sitting, looking front.
There's a tape recorder in front of him, waiting there like if
nothing really mattered. There's a camera standing in front of
him. Then, we hear someone getting in. He has his hair combed
to the left side. He's 48. The Big Bad Wolf. The Bad Guy. The
Giant. FRANCO.
FRANCO
Alright. Is your name Connor Santana?

CONNOR
Yes sir.

FRANCO
OK. Sorry if i ask your name, i thought you were the
incorrect one. And don't call me "SIR" or we won't be friends.
Just call me FRANCO. If it is too long for you, then "Frank".

CONNOR
OK, Mr. Frank.

Franco chuckles.

FRANCO
I never thought you would be funny.

CONNOR
It happens sometimes.

FRANCO sits in front of him.

FRANCO
It's OK. I'm not a cop, I'm not going to arrest you or
anything. I just want to ask you some questions and you're
gonna have to answer me.

CONNOR
Are my parents here?
FRANCO
They are. They're outside the room. But as long as I'm
asking you these questions, you are not able to make any sort
of contact with them. It's alright, they're gonna be short
questions. Are we good with that?

CONNOR
Yeah. We're good.

FRANCO
I guess you might wonder why me and my men brought you
here, right? Cause if you know, that's a good thing. Do you
know?

CONNOR
Isn't because of that kid Evan?

FRANCO
Ok. You know, that's a good thing. Alright.

He presses the record button on the tape recorder. It starts


recording. Then, he stands and presses the red button on the
camera. Both the tape recorder and the camera start recording.
He sits back.

FRANCO
This is July 1, 2039. I'm in the New Mexico Police
Department. My name's FRANCO Vitalich. With me, there's Connor
Santana, who agrees to be a neighbor of this kid, Evan
SKYLANDER.
(to Connor)
Now Connor, I need you to tell me any information you
have about the now known and recently fugitive boy Evan
SKYLANDER.

Connor just thinks.

CONNOR
Well, how do you think i should start? Should i start
somewhere or...?

FRANCO
Start from the beginning. When did you first met Evan?
CONNOR
Uh, let's see. I --

He takes a moment.

FRANCO
That's alright. You can take your time.

CONNOR
No, no, no, no. I'm not gonna take long. I just -- I
don't think I'm doing the right thing.

FRANCO
What you're about to do will help us.

CONNOR
What's gonna happen if you catch Evan? What will you do
with him?

FRANCO
We'll just ask him a few questions.

CONNOR
And then?

FRANCO
We'll just keep asking him a few more questions.

Connor sighs.

CONNOR
I just don't want you to hurt him, that's all. He's my
best friend.

FRANCO
We will not take the risk.

CONNOR
Alright.
(sighs)
I first met Evan when he moved to my neighborhood. That
was like lots of years earlier.

FRANCO
Did you knew him very well? Like, you've met him in
person or something?

CONNOR
I knew him. Like the palm of my hand. He used to be the
kind of kid who never got out much. But he did went to school.

FRANCO
Alright, and in school, in your neighborhood, in any
other place, did he showed you, you know like, the things he
can do?

CONNOR
I never knew about those things until the moment in which
he knew them by himself. But at nights, some strange things
happened.

FRANCO
What kind of weird things?

CONNOR
At nights, the houses were shaking. And the ground was
also shaking. Like an earthquake simulator or something like
it. They only lasted for like 1 minute. It kept going for two
weeks.

FRANCO
Do you have any sort of recent contact with him?

CONNOR
No. I mean, yes, but he didn't told me where he was going
or who he was going with. He just went off and he just
disappeared.

FRANCO
And do you know where he went off to exactly?

CONNOR looks like he knows it. But doesn't want to answer it.

FRANCO
Come on Connor. Our lives depend on you.

CONNOR
He just told me he was with this Uber Driver. And two
more people.
FRANCO
Alright, that's good. Where did they were going?

CONNOR
I don't-I have no idea. He didn't told me.

FRANCO
He didn't told you where he was going but he did told you
who he was going with. Is that correct?

CONNOR
Yeah, that's correct.

FRANCO
Alright. Well, i guess that'll be it. See? I told you it
was gonna be short.

Franco stands, so does Connor.

FRANCO
I hope we see each other soon.

They perform a hand-shake. They begin to exit the room.

CUT TO:

INT. CONNOR'S ROOM. NIGHT.

Connor has his phone with him. He is on his contacts. We see


on his phone the words: EVAN. He wants to press on the "CALL"
button. But he's afraid that it will risk his life. He calls
him anyway. It beeps. The phone is answered.

evan (on phone)


Hey.

Connor is surprised to hear that voice.

evan (on phone)


Con? You there?

CONNOR
Hi.
evan (on phone)
Hey.

CONNOR
Ho-How are you?

evan (on phone)


So far so good, you?

CONNOR
I'm good, right here. Can't stop being interviewed to
shit.

evan (on phone)


Have you told anything yet or...?

CONNOR
No, i haven't told anything about you, or your friends,
or where you're going. You and me are good, alright?

evan (on phone)


Glad to hear that.

CONNOR
Dude, where are you?? I've been trying to reach you for
days. Are you ok?? What happened???

evan (on phone)


I'm good. Alright. I'm ok. I'm fine. Are you alone? No
cops around you?

CONNOR
I'm on my room. I'm on my own right now.

evan (on phone)


Good.

CONNOR
I've heard about what happened. At the hospital. Your
brother....I'm so sorry, man.

evan (on phone)


Yeah, I'm sorry too. Con, can i tell you something?
CONNOR
Sure. Yeah. Anything. What is it?

evan (on phone)


I don't think i might come back.

CONNOR
Why?

evan (on phone)


I'm being hunted by a group of fuckers. I don't know what
they want. I'm sure they want me. They want to take me
somewhere, i guess.

CONNOR
Well, is there anyway that you can come back??

Evan, on the phone, inhales and exhales.

evan (on phone)


I don't know. Maybe. I'm working on it, but I promise
that I will try to come back.

CONNOR
Ok.

evan (on phone)


It's just that.....I don't want to risk your life. I
don't want to put you in danger.

CONNOR
I know. The streets nowadays are filled with dangerous,
fucked up people like the bad guys you mentioned. Pretty much
my life has always been in danger when I'm living here. But
i'm glad about what you're telling me.

evan (on phone)


Alright.

CONNOR
Are you alright in there, buddy?

evan (on phone)


Yeah, i'm fine. I promise, and I don't know when that
moment will come, but I promise to you that I will come back.
Ok??

CONNOR
Alright. Look, I guess I'll see you later, buddy.
Alright?

evan (on phone)


Yeah. Alright buddy.

He hangs up.

Connor is left there, thoughtful.

HARD TO BLACK.

SUPER TITLE IN WHITE:

EARLIER
INT. EVAN’S HOUSE - EVAN’S ROOM. MORNING. DAYS EARLIER.

A BOY
wakes up from a nightmare. He strongly pants. He is introduced
to us. He is EVAN SKYLANDER. 14. Brown eyes, brown scruffy
hair.

He is sweaty and pants. He looks around. He realizes he’s on


his room.

He lays back on his bed, sighing.

CUT TO:

LATER:
Evan is finishing dressing up. HE’S WEARING A RED CHICAGO RED
BULLS SWEATER (that's clearly showing the BIG HORN CHARACTER
LOGO and the words CHICAGO BULLS above of the LOGO), WEARING
BLUE JEANS AND BLACK BOOTS. His most classical clothing.

He prepares his backpack with stuff and as he finishes, he


walks to the door. He is finally out of his room.

CUT TO:

INT. EVAN’S HOUSE - DAN’S ROOM. MINUTES LATER.

A YOUNG MAN, 24 YEARS OLD, is watching TV while lying on bed.


He’s ill, but not “dying” ill. It’s like if he had influenza.
He is DAN.

Three knocks on the door are emitted.

DAN
Come on in!

Evan enters into the room. He has a plate with a ham and
cheese sandwich on it.

EVAN
Hey there.

He leaves the plate on the furniture next to the bed.

DAN
You made breakfast for me?

EVAN
Of course.

DAN
You’re going out now?

EVAN
Yeah. Remember, if something happens, call the school so I can
come back to the house, ok?

DAN
You got it.

EVAN
You remember the number?
DAN
I always do.

EVAN
Alright.

Evan kisses Dan on the head.

EVAN
I’ll be right back.

He walks out. But before he can do that:

DAN
Ev?

EVAN
(turns to dan)
Yeah?

DAN
Can you please go to the pharmacy after school to get more
medications?

EVAN
They ran out again?

DAN
Yeah, they did.

EVAN
Alright, I will.

DAN
Thank you. Have fun at school.

EVAN
I’ll try.

He walks out.

EVAN
Bye!
DAN
Bye.

CUT TO:

INT. NEIGHBORHOOD. SECONDS LATER. / EXT. EVAN’S HOUSE. SECONDS


LATER.

Evan exits his house and walks on the neighborhood.

CUT TO:

INT. CITY STREETS. MINUTES LATER.


Evan is walking to the bus station. And luckily, there is an
empty bus driving to the station.

CUT TO:

INT. BUS. SECONDS LATER.

Evan gets inside the bus. The bus begins to drive.

Evan sits on a seat next to the window. He rests his head next
to the window. He puts his earbuds on and he turns his phone
on.

We can clearly see that he is looking in the music section. He


presses a song and it begins to play. He is relaxing.

ON SOUNDTRACK: “MY SWEET LORD (2014 MIX)” by GEORGE HARRISON

Evan closes his eyes and feels the rhythm of the music. He
quietly hums the song.

We then focus on the window...

...and the film’s title shows up. It shows up as we focus on


the city passing by.

CUT TO:

EXT. SCHOOL. MINUTES LATER.

What used to be an old, fashioned, kid-friendly, antiquated


school, now looks like a fucking dump. The students mill
around outside. Some walk to the school and some just wait
outside the school, chatting to other students.

Evan enters the school. He’s still listening to the music on


his earbuds.

Then, A CHUBBY, FRECKLE-FACE BULLY strongly pushes Evan, who


falls to the ground.

BULLY
Out of the way, you fucking freak.

His two goons laugh with him. The three boys walk out. Evan
stands up. CONNOR, who just entered the school seconds
earlier, walks to him.

CONNOR
Hey man.

Evan turns to him.

EVAN
Hey, Con.

They perform a high-five with each other.

CONNOR
Forget about Buford. He’s a fucking prick.

EVAN
That’s alright.

They walk on the hallway, talking. The bell rings.

CUT TO:

INT. CLASSROOM. LATER.

All the students are sitting on their spots. ELLA TAMAYO (the
teacher), around 27 years old, brown and tremendously
beautiful, is teaching Poetry on class.

ELLA
Now, can anyone of you tell me what
Poetry is?
The students take their time in answering the question. They
start to think.

ELLA
Anyone?

A STUDENT raises his hand. ELLA catches her. It's EVAN.

ELLA
Yes, EVAN?

EVAN
I think that Poetry like a Poem. I
think that is when you write someone
a very thoughtful and beautiful
letter that contains Poetry and Poem
in it.

ELLA
Good. That was good. Poetry can be
interpreted as Poem, or as a verse or
as a rhythmical composition --

ELLA can't help notice two students, a boy and a girl,


flirting, kissing and giggling.

ELLA
(to flirting students)
Guillermo.

The two students notice.

ELLA
Can you please explain to me, and to
the class, why are you sitting there
with Esti? Seriously, to be honest,
you two look like leeches.

All the students laugh.

ELLA
What's wrong with sitting with
Edward? Is he a bad partner to you?
Is he stressing you out? Or you just
like sitting with Esti because you
think she's a better "partner" than
him?

Guillermo thinks about this for a second. He stands and walks


to Edward. He sits next to him.

ELLA
Thank you. Now, as i was saying---
CUT TO:

LATER:

The bell rings.

ELLA is sitting on her chair, checking something on her


notebook.

All students exit to recess.

EVAN walks to ELLA.

EVAN
Hey, Mrs. Tamayo.

ELLA manages to notice EVAN.

ELLA
Hey there EVAN.

EVAN
You checked the homework that I sent
to you?

ELLA
I did.

EVAN
And...Did you liked it?

ELLA
Truth?

EVAN
Truth.

ELLA
I didn't liked it.

EVAN's face changes.

EVAN
Oh.

ELLA
I loved it.

EVAN's face immediately changes. He smiles.

EVAN
Really?
ELLA
Yeah. You know what else I loved
about it? The way you decided to
write the poem. It was so explicit,
yet so unique and special.

EVAN
Yeah, well, that's the way I like to
work.

ELLA
I hope you can continue to work more
often like this. I have faith in you.
By the way, changing the theme, how's
your family?

EVAN
They're fine. Yeah.

ELLA
How's Dan? Is he good?

EVAN
He's hanging in there.

ELLA
That's good to hear.
How are you doing? You good?

EVAN
Yeah, I'm doing fine here.

ELLA
Good. I'm gonna have to check your
poem again. I think I'm gonna have
another fucking orgasm the second
time I read it.

EVAN chuckles.

ELLA
Go to your friends. I'll decide your
note for your poem.

EVAN
But, it's a good one, right?

ELLA
Yeah, it's good. It’s a great one,
actually. You don't have to worry
about it. It's a good one. I promise.

EVAN
Alright.

EVAN walks off.

ELLA
Have a good time out there.

EVAN
I’ll try!

CUT TO:

INT. SCHOOL PLAYGROUND. SECONDS LATER. RECESS.


Evan is reunited with his friends on the playground.

Then, YOVANNA, a cute 14 year old girl, approaches Evan with


her two friends.

YOVANNA
Excuse me. Evan?

Evan notices her.

EVAN
Yeah?

YOVANNA
(presents a couple of cards)
Can you levitate them?

EVAN
I’m sorry?

YOVANNA
Can you do a magic trick with them?

Evan, convinced, stands up and takes the cards. He stands on


the middle of the playground, and he puts the cards on the
ground.

Yovanna, her friends, Connor and Evan’s friends look at him.

Then, Evan inhales and exhales. He closes his eyes. Then, he


makes the cards to separate and levitate. All the students
watch him, shocked, stunned and surprised.
EVAN
Now, there are no rules in powers. You just need to learn to
use them, like me. And, be careful, if you don't use them in a
correct manner or way, if you get obsessed with it so much,
then, you're gonna lose them.

Evan is doing tricks with it. Amazing tricks. Like magic


tricks. The cards then are doing amazing tricks, like 3D
tricks, impressive tricks that are assured to blow your mind.
The cards, then, landed on his right hand, as he grabs the
cards and gives them back to a smiling Yovanna. The students
clap and cheer at him. Evan takes a bow.

EVAN
Thank you so much.

CUT TO:

INT. SCHOOL ENTRANCE. LATER. AFTER SCHOOL.


Evan, Connor and Connor’s little brother, LIONEL, 12 years
old, walk together, chatting and laughing.

LIONEL
By the way, man. Your trick was impressive.

FRANCO (O.S)
Very impressive indeed.

The three boys gasp. They turn to see a man, FRANCO, walking
to them. But most especially, walking to Evan.

FRANCO
I've been looking for you a lot, Evan. In fact, I have a place
with kids like you, and we'll be proud to get you there.

EVAN
A place with kids like me? Like the Charles Xavier home for
special kids?

FRANCO
You read a lot I suppose. Want me to show you the place?
You’re gonna love it.

Evan looks worried.


EVAN
I don’t think my big brother would like that idea.

FRANCO
Your big brother? Daniel? Is he here?

EVAN
How do you know about my brother? Are you a pedophile or
something?

A PARENT approaches to the scene, worried and disrupted, and


preoccupied.

PARENT
Excuse me boys, is there a problem here?

FRANCO
I don’t know. Ask him. Should there be one?

EVAN
(to lionel and connor)
Alright, you know what? Let’s just get out of here.

The three boys walk out. Franco looks at them go. He smiles
maliciously.

CUT TO:

INT. PHARMACY. DAY.

The pharmacy looks almost empty. There's small groups of


people in different aisles.

The TV is on, speaking some messages on a loudly way.

Entering into the pharmacy is the hero of our story: EVAN.

evan
(to cashier)
Hey.

CASHIER
Hi, Evan. You're coming for the medications?
evan
Yeah.

CASHIER
How's your brother?

evan
He's just -- hanging in there.

CASHIER
Glad to hear that.

evan
Thanks.

The CASHIER walks to get some medications. Evan looks at the


TV: A reporting of various shots of violence, madness and
corruption on the city. People causing massive fires, stealing
stores, breaking into some places, doing the typical shit that
they do.

TV (O.S)
...continuing our story, last night the small store named
"MARIO'S STORE" was violently vandalized by a group of
individuals...

Evan pays so much attention to this. Then, the CASHIER


approaches to him, holding medications on his right hand.

CASHIER
Evan.

Evan turns to him.

evan
Hey.

CASHIER
(presenting the medications)
Here they are.

evan
Oh, great, How much would that be?

CASHIER
3,99.

Evan takes money from his wallet. He gives it to the CASHIER.

CASHIER
(hands him the medications)
Here you go.

evan
Thanks.

Evan turns as he walks off with the medications on his hand.


He keeps it on the sweater pocket. He walks off the pharmacy.

CASHIER (o.s)
Have a nice day!

evan
I'll try!

Evan finally exits the pharmacy.

EXT. PHARMACY/INT. CITY.

Welcome the future. It looks dystopian. It looks just like the


dystopian future from "A Clockwork Orange". There's no flying
cars, no androids, no fancy holy-shit clothes, no fancy
decorated stores. Nothing futuristic. Just this: Society
itself reigning the streets. It's troubled times indeed. The
unemployment rate is rising, just like the crime rate in the
city. The time? Let's just call it 2039 and just leave it like
that.

Welcome to dystopian Chicago, a not very futuristic city.


Looks like the A Clockwork Orange ambient: The worst future
scale. There's no flying cars, or hoverboards, or anything. We
can barely see that in some streets the garbage strike has
crippled all over the streets. Truth is that it's been 8 weeks
since this happened. And where the fuck are the garbage
trucks? Nobody knows.

Evan walks on the city. He walks with his hands on his pocket.

Some people walk past him. They pass Evan. Evan passes by an
alley, where we see TWO GUYS beating the shit out of a COLLEGE
STUDENT. But nobody here wants to help. Nobody in here gives a
shit.

Evan passes by the alley and he just walks off. Just like
that.

INT. TAXI STOP. SECONDS LATER.

Evan taps on a taxi window. The DRIVER notices, and rolls down
the window.

driver
You want a ride?
INT. TAXI. SECONDS LATER.

ON SOUNDTRACK - FOLK IMPLOSION, RAISE THE BELLS.


The TAXI is driving through the city. Evan is on the backseat.
He looks at the city passing by. Stores, houses, apartments,
people. All of that passing by. Evan puts his sweater hat as
his pillow as he watches how the city passes by.

CUT TO:

INT. NEIGHBORHOOD. MOMENTS LATER.

Evan walks by many houses. Then, he finally enters into his


house.

INT. EVAN'S HOUSE. SAME.

Evan SKYLANDER gets in through the main door. He enters


quietly. He leaves the keys under the carpet, CLASSIC TRICK.
He closes the door gently. He SIGHS. He walks to the stairs.

INT. EVAN'S HOUSE - DAN'S ROOM. SAME.

Evan enters into his older brother's room. He sees his older
brother, DAN, sleeping on the bed. He's obviously ill.

Evan approaches to the furniture and leaves the medication


there. As Evan walks off--

dan
How was it out there?
Evan turns and sees his brother, half-awake, half-asleep.

evan
It's -- stable. Have you got your breakfast?

Dan
I can't stand up. My whole body hurts.

He tries to accommodate, but he grunts in pain. Evan


approaches to him but Dan stops him.

dan
That's okay. I'm fine. Don't worry.

Evan backs off.

evan
Want me to prepare you some breakfast?

dan
Sure.

Evan walks off, to the kitchen.

CUT TO:

INT. EVAN'S HOUSE - kitchen. SAME.

This is where Evan's powers act: As he searches for cereal,


the yogurt, as if it was like some sort of magic trick,
levitates. It is being opened by itself. The cover is thrown
to the trash. Then, a spoon levitates into the yogurt and
begins to extract it. The extracted yogurt falls to a plate.

Evan approaches. He takes the levitating empty yogurt and


throws it to the trash. He puts the cereal inside the yogurt.

CUT TO:

INT. EVAN'S HOUSE - DAN'S ROOM. SECONDS LATER.

Evan arrives with the yogurt with cereal plate on his hand.
Evan
Yogurt with Cereal, straight right from the oven.
(hands it to Dan)
Here you go.

Dan
(takes it)
Thanks.

He begins to eat the yogurt with cereal.

evan
Do you like it?

dan
Yeah, it so good.

Evan looks at him eat.

evan
I'll be in my room if you want anything.

dan
Sure, I'll be here.

Evan exits the room.

CUT TO:

INT. EVAN'S HOUSE - EVAN'S ROOM. SAME.

Evan is listening to some music on his phone. Above of him,


there's a Superman toy, levitating. The toy makes a flying
position, like if the toy was flying. But the toy is just
levitating with the flying position. Evan hums the music on
his ears.

Then, his phone buzzes. He answers it.

evan
Hello?

TREVOR (ON PHONE)


Evan? Is that you?
Evan gets surprised when he hears that familiar voice. The
voice of a long time friend.

evan
Trevor?

TREVOR (ON PHONE)


Yeah, it's me. Thank God it's you, I've been trying to
reach out for your number but i couldn't find it.

evan
Oh. Well, now you've found it.

TREVOR (ON PHONE)


Yeah. How are you doing?

evan
Surviving. Still trying not to do the "overuse". But
good, yeah.

(OVERUSE MEANS THE MUCH USING OF POWERS, IF YOU USE YOUR


POWERS FOR A LONG EXTENDED TIME, YOU GET TO PASS OUT FOR 1
MINUTE)
evan
You?

TREVOR (ON PHONE)


Still trying to survive in here.

evan
Good.

TREVOR (ON PHONE)


Are you in your place right now?

evan
I'm in my house, yeah.

TREVOR (ON PHONE)


Are you with somebody?

evan
I'm with my brother. Why?
TREVOR (ON PHONE)
Well, i was thinking about -- Well -- Why don't you come
stay with me at my apartment? Since i've heard that your
parents, they're just -- gone.

evan
Ok?

TREVOR (ON PHONE)


I want to give you and Dan some protection.

Evan thinks about this for a second.

evan
Does it -- Does it have to be now?

TREVOR (ON PHONE)


Not exactly. It can be someday. You just call me and
we'll pick you guys up.

evan
Oh. Well, not for now. We're good. Thanks for the offer.

TREVOR (ON PHONE)


Sure. Anytime. Remember, you call me--

evan
--you guys come pick us up.

TREVOR (ON PHONE)


That's right. SO, that would be it. Stay alive, Evan
SKYLANDER.

evan
You too, Trevor.

TREVOR (ON PHONE)


Alright, so i'll see you soon.

evan
You bet. Bye.

TREVOR (ON PHONE)


Bye.
The call ends. Evan thinks about the conversation.

CUT TO:

INT. EVAN'S HOUSE - DAN'S ROOM. SECONDS LATER.

Evan is talking to Dan.

evan
--so he says that we can stay there, since Mom and Dad
are gone.

dan
For how long?

evan
He didn't said. But he said that we could stay there as
long as we want to. Don't you think that's great?

dan
I don't know Evan. I mean, i don't even know your friend
that well.

evan
Well, at least -- Uh --

dan
I like your enthusiasm. But right now, just let me think
about it. And then i'll tell you if we can go or not.

evan
Sure.

CUT TO:

INT. EVAN'S HOUSE - EVAN'S ROOM. NIGHT.

Evan is sleeping comfy on his own bed. Then --

-- a LOUD NOISE, accompanied by an EARTHQUAKE, interrupt his


sleep. sleeping. Then....

INT. DAN'S ROOM.


Dan was having a nightmare. Then, the most shocking thing:

!BLOOD IS COMING OUT OF HIS FOREHEAD, NOSE, EARS, MOUTH, EYES,


EVERYWHERE.

Evan gets in.

evan
Oh shit!

Evan approaches. As Dan keeps bleeding so bad, Evan wakes him


up.

evan
Dan! Dan, wake up!
Dan wakes up, the bleeding stops and so does the earthquake.

dan

pedestrians passing by on the street, people selling their

Evan and Trevor walk outside of the apartment block.

Trevor and Evan enter.

INT. TREVOR'S APARTMENT BLOCK - LOBBY. SAME.

It's a shabby lobby. Looks like if the apartment is about to


collapse very soon or something. Probably the building was
very nice back in the day, but now it's a fucking dumpster.
Evan and Trevor walk together on the lobby. Evan walks to the
elevators. Trevor stops him.

They get stuck when you're going up. They're fucking

They finally arrive at this huge hallway full of doors. They


walk front. They finally arrive to a door on the left.

It looks good, nice, and comfy. There's many paintings, and a


big window where you can see the whole country. Evan and

A GIRL, 14 YEARS OLD, WITH HER HAIR DYED RED, HER EYES BROWN,

Chloe is with a knife, she puts it on her pocket. Then she
approaches to a mannequin. She is pretending to walk nice,

THE NEXT SHOT, WE SEE DAN, WITH A BULLET ON HIS HEAD, STARTING
TO BEING COVERED BY A WHITE SHEET.

Evan watches this. He begins to be devastated. He walks off.

Evan arrives at the bathroom -- and he begins to cry. A moment

Evan is lying on the bed, he's all thoughtful. The door

Chloe slowly opens the door. She slowly enters into the room.

Hey. You're ok?

Yeah, i'm fine.

CHLOE
Listen, we just got some Wendy's burgers, in case if you
want to join us and eat.

Chloe notices Evan's sadness. Her smile fades off.

We're going to eat the burgers at the dining room, just
in case if you want to join us and eat with us.

Chloe begins to understand Evan's pain, sadness and grief at


this moment. She understands that by leaving Evan alone, he'll
be better. She sighs. And she walks off.

Evan then turns on his phone and sees Dan's chat. There's
three messages written by Evan to Dan, saying:

Evan sighs, saddened. He turns his phone off. Puts it on his


chest and looks up. Then, his phone buzzes. He sees a new
message being sent to him,

She's beginning to heal him.

Then DING DING!!! Another notification on Evan's phone. We see


it:

"We're going to catch you, better run and hide for your

INT. Hallway.

We see tons of guards walking in the hall, like a Matrix shot.


The guards don't look like average FBI Style dressed guys,
they are wearing job suits. As the guards were getting in, in
between the hole, they see nothing. The boys were not there.
They break the door to check it out, but then, KITCHEN KNIFES
STAB THEM RIGHT ON THEIR FACES, ONE BY ONE. EVAN DID IT. He
and Chloe and Trevor escape on the hallway. Trevor's apartment
is full of dead guards.

.ext. Trevor's apartment block. minutes later.

The boys run away as the camera turns to see Chloe, with some
5 dead bodies of guards with her. She just handled some right
after the guards got into the Apartment.

We have to get out of here. More will come.

But where? We have nowhere or how to go.

Chloe then has an idea.

The chase was still going on.

As the truck is going fast, it crashes against the back part


of Adam's car. Adam tries to drive fast, but he can’t, as the
truck was still behind them. Evan uses his mental powers to
MAKE THE TRUCK TO STOP, KILLING ALL THE GUARDS INSIDE. THE
TRUCK THEN AUTOMATICALLY DRIVES INTO A GAS STATION WHERE IT
EXPLODES. EVAN OR TREVOR DIDN'T DO IT, CHLOE DID.

Adam noticed what they've done. He realizes and laughs of


excitement.

CHLOE threatens him with the knife. The boys try to stop her.

Evan is watching the film, with a huge focus. Adam enters the
room. He notices what Evan's watching.

CHLOE gets up and runs to the car. The guard was chasing

They all get inside the car.

The unknown guard is backing off.

INT. ADAM'S CAR - later.

Chloe is sleeping, with her head resting on the window. So is


Evan as he is listening to some music on his phone while he is
asleep, while Trevor is looking at the window, awake. Adam is
still driving.

Trevor looks at Chloe.

TREVOR
I am her guardian.

Adam listens to the conversation.

You're that girl's guardian?

TREVOR
Yeah. It was back at the time when her family got killed.
adam
How?

TREVOR
Some men entered her house, they shot everyone inside and
they took her. A few years later, she escaped. She ended up
wandering on the streets. And that's how i found her.

Adam thinks for a moment.

Escaped from where?

TREVOR
There's a lab. They kidnap kids and put them in there.
Those guys make those kids believe that the lab is like home.
But it's not home. It's a fucking hell hole in there.

So, there, in the lab, is that where you guys got your

TREVOR
Yeah. For those guys, we were nothing. Nothing more than
just lab rats.

Adam thinks for a moment.

Adam and The Three Youngsters exit the car. They walk to the
outside of the hotel.

They walk up.

Adam and The Three Youngsters exit the door.

So the door was....624.
They walk left. As they approach, they get in front of the
door 624.

He grabs the room keys and opens the door.

Adam and The Three Youngsters enter the room. EVAN and Trevor
and Chloe look around.

Alright, so the room with the king-sized bed will be
mine. You guys can stay on the other room.

It’s getting dark.

We see the sky and we get down as we see the crowd walking. We
see ADAM with a supermarket bag on the hand. He walks with
Chloe and Trevor and Evan.

Now just walk and don’t attract attention, ok???

Silence. No answer.

As he turns to see Evan, he realizes he’s not there. Alarmed,
he looks around. Then, he sees Evan walking to a clothes shop
store. Chloe and Trevor and Adam walk to him.

EXT. CLOTHES STORE. SAME.

Evan sees a mannequin with his size wearing a big colorful


beautiful Sweater. Evan think that it’ll fit to him.

He sees another mannequin. Probably a mannequin with Adam's


size holding his hand, wearing unrecognizable clothes. Evan
puts his hand on the glass. Adam and The Two Youngsters
approach to him.

ADAM
There you are!!
Evan separates his hand from the glass as soon as he heard
ADAM.

Clothes.

If we want to camouflage or to be unrecognizable or not
to attract attention, we need new clothes.

CHLOE

ADAM looks at the two mannequins. He probably thinks that the

Adam is paying the new clothes with the big quantity of money
he has. The cashier is stunned.

He gives the money to the cashier.

include the clothes they bought. They walk out.

FROM THE LAB parking on the hotel's parking lot.

Adam manages to recognize those familiar trucks.

Adam begins to be more alarmed now.

They found the car.

I think they're downstairs.

The room phone rings. Adam walks to it.

A beat. ADAM and The Three Youngsters are worried.

He hangs up.

Well, what happens if we stay in here? Would that work?

people talking to the cops and full of GUARDS. EVAN wears
sunglasses and has his hoodie on. He’s wearing the Sweater
from the store. And ADAM the clothes he bought. Chloe and
Trevor are wearing the clothes that Adam bought for them.

ADAM
Ok. Let’s walk front.

They walk front, trying to not attract attention.

The Group freezes.

ADAM approaches to the desk. He starts signing the papers. A


GUARD notices Evan. The cop approaches him.

Hey there buddy. Are your parents here??? Can you tell me

The GUARD realizes.

As the GUARD was about to talk on his walkie-talkie, ADAM


POINTS A GUN TO THE GUARD.

Everybody gets alarmed.

The GUARD obeys.

Another GUARD notices.

GUARD #3
Hey!

As ADAM turns to the second GUARD, he accidentally pulls the


trigger, making the bullet fly to the Cop’s head. The cop
falls to the ground. Dead. The group is shocked.

CHLOE

(points gun at adam)
Freeze!

ADAM covers The youngsters. ADAM shoots the second Cop on the
leg. He falls hurt.

ADULT
Somebody call an ambulance!!!

ADAM points the gun at everyone.

The group walks slowly to the entrance.

ADAM
If some of you call the cops, I swear the next dumb
motherfucker who dares calling the fucking cops, gets a fiery

ADAM exits the lobby with The Trio.

INT. hotel PARKING LOT. SAME.

The group runs to the parking lot.

They notice more cops entering. They run and hide on the backs
of the cars. ADAM sees the cops running to the hotel.

They run, hiding, to Adam's car.

The group enters. Evan, Chloe and Trevor are on the backseat.
ADAM enters on the driver’s seat. He buckles up as he starts
driving.

adam
Alright, the three of you, get down.
ADAM starts driving slowly to the exit. Then, on his back, the
GUARDS notice it’s them.
GUARD #4
It’s them!!!! There they are!!!
GUARD #4 and other cops point guns at the car. ADAM looks
back.

adam
Buckle up!

They obey. The trio buckles up. Then, ADAM drives front. The
cops start shooting at the glass. EVAN gets up and looks at
the window. Then, a cop car on ADAM’s side shows a cop on a
window.

Get down!
And the cop shoots at the window, to ADAM’s left arm.

He grunts in pain.

CHLOE

adam

ADAM shoots at the cops in the cop car. The car stops as it
crashes on a store.

The car drives from the apartment to the street. Many cop cars
and the LAB TRUCKS start chasing them. Including a helicopter.

The Car drives faster. It’s being chased by the cops. Hot
Pursuit. ADAM drives alarmed.

ADAM
Shit shit shit. Oh shit.
On the backseat, Chloe sees one cop car in front shooting at
them. He prepares his hand.

Chloe
Abracadabra.
She makes a SNAP....
....and the cop car that was before him crashes and flies off,
crashing on the ground.

ADAM sees ON FRONT. dozens of cop cars blocking their way on


front.

ADAM

EVAN

Then, ADAM violently and strongly turns the maneuver....

....and the car turns to another street.

Then, the same cop cars that were chasing them drive faster to
the blockers.

The Car turns to another street. An empty one.

Chloe sees the back window. There’s nobody chasing them.

CHLOE
Yeah. There’s nobody chasing us.

ON FRONT. We see other cop cars, SWAT trucks, and the same
helicopter, blocking their way out. ADAM notices.

ON BACK other cop cars chasing them. There’s no other way out
for them.

ADAM closes his eyes. Evan looks front and as he closes his
eyes too....

....all the cop cars, and the SWAT trucks, from back and
front, fly off like projectiles got out from a Star Wars
movie. They fly off everywhere in amazing slow motion.

IN SLOW MOTION.

ADAM opens his eyes as he sees the cop cars flying.

IN SLOW MOTION.

The Car drives through the flying vehicles.

Then, ON NORMAL MOTION, all the vehicles crash everywhere.

EVAN watches the helicopter, and as he closes his eyes, the


helicopter suffers a malfunction. It spins with smoke coming
out of it.

And the car is out of the city.

ADAM looks back and laughs.

ADAM
Woohoo!!!! That was amazing. You were amazing at blowing
those fuckers up!!!

The trio cheer.

Me? Me?! You were amazing at driving!

adam
No, you were amazing.

CHLOE

Everyone laughs.

The car drives out of the bridge. To the road.

The car arrives. It parks next to the cars.

We’re going to eat food so we can not starve, ok? Ok, you

They get down the car.

INT. MALL. SAME.

The group walks on the mall that's full of people. Chloe looks
around, this is the first time she's ever been in a mall. She
is amazed, stunned, entranced, fascinated, all of those
feelings at the same time.

CHLOE
So this is a mall, right?

evan
You've never been into a mall before?

CHLOE
Evan, i just spent the majority of my life inside of a
fucking lab. Of course i haven't been inside of a mall.

Trevor notices Adam is wearing the sunglasses he wore when he


escaped from the police and from the lab.

TREVOR
Why are you still wearing sunglasses? There's no cops in
here.

So i don’t attract attention. We’re just a happy family,
walking on a mall, sticking together.

INT. MALL - FOOD COURT. later.

The group is having their foods. They're all eating Burger


King burgers. Chloe, most of all, is tasting her burger. She
has never ate a burger before in her entire life. That's
because she spent half of her life locked inside of a
laboratory, being controlled by grown ups.

(to chloe)

CHLOE
It's fine. It's just It's so -- Oh. Mmm. It's go good.

Adam smiles.

INT. MALL. later. after lunch.

The group approach to an ATM machine. Adam puts his credit


card inside.

Next to them, Evan notices a guy punching to the ATM.

This stupid machine swallowed my card and my money.

He touches the wall the machine, and on the spot where the
money comes from, the credit card and some dollars exit the
ATM. The guy is shocked.

EVAN walks to ADAM, who already has money on his wallet. ADAM
notices and before he walks out:

ADAM walks off with Evan. The guy is still shocked and most of
all, he's stunned. ON THE GROUP. They walk together.

You know something? I think i might be jealous of your
abilities.

EXT. MALL. LATER.

We see the group walking to the car. Then, we see a man,


secretly seeing how the car, with them inside, leaves.

CUT TO:

INT. THE ROAD - NIGHT.

We see the cars driving front as we slowly turn to a giant


billboard standing on the ground, and see the car in the back
of it, hiding.

INT. ADAM'S CAR. SAME.

.ON BACKSEAT.

Evan is sleeping alongside with Chloe and Trevor, lying on the


seats.

.ON FRONT SEAT.

ADAM is sleeping too, snoring.

A young costumer is on the backseat. ADAM is driving through


the streets. ADAM, a bit asleep, brings the conciousness back.

ADAM wakes up. He looks on the backseat and sees Evan and
Chloe and Trevor, sleeping. ADAM sighs.

.int. Adam's car. later - DAy.

EVAN
Hey, Adam, how many hours do we have???

adam
We'll arrive there, i think, in the next day. We're
close.

TREVOR
Didn't you said that the house was located on the
forest??

adam
It takes time, ok?? The more far is the way, the more
safe we are. There's a difference.

TREVOR
Alright.

TREVOR pulls out the toy, and, by using his mental powers, he
makes it levitate and spins. Trevor smiles as the toy is
spinning outta control. Adam is seeing the scene, then, he
wonders something.

adam
Am I supposed to dump you after I get you there?

TREVOR

adam
You know, am i supposed to leave you guys alone once
we've arrived into the place?

evan
What? No, remember, we need a guardian. Why are you

adam
I was thinking....if we hide on there, then you won't
need for my help, and you'll kick me out of the house. I'm
thinking that you guys can take care of each other so well
without my help.

evan
Why are you thinking that?? No, we'll not dumping you

Adam nods. He has a clear smile on his face.

EVAN
So, since when did you became an expert soldier???
Adam is now taking some new time to rethink things.

ADAM
Uhh, my dad was an expert, he told me how to shoot when I
was 13. After that, I impressed my whole family by the age of
19. One of my friends told me to be in the army. He was a good
man, but, they shot him. I became retired after the war, and
now I'm here, with THREE KIDS WITH MIND POWERS on my car. You
know, if I had a power, anything, it will be the power of
telekinesis. Which is basically what you guys have, i think. I
want to move stuff with my hands and my mind.

The car drives through an empty road.

INT. CAR. night.

ADAM drives front. He’s weary. He drove all night and he


hasn’t slept. Not even for a bit. He is so tired. As he is
getting asleep, he wakes up. EVAN, Chloe and Trevor, who are
all awake, notice his state.

CHLOE
Tired.

adam
Mmm?

CHLOE
You're tired.

adam
(scoffs)
No, i'm not.

CHLOE
Yes you are. Adam, You drove all night. You haven’t
slept.
ADAM knows Chloe is right. But instead he just keeps driving.

CHLOE
Stop the car.

adam
No.

evan
Why no??? You need to sleep. Come on. Adam, Stop the car.
Then, Evan uses his mental abilities and...

...the car pulls over. ADAM sighs.


ADAM
Alright. That’s it. You stopped the car. Congratulations.
Now what?

evan
Sleep.

adam
Where do i sleep? In my seat? There’s basically no
fucking space in here.

EVAN
You can sleep on the backseat.
ADAM sighs. He takes his seat belt off.

ADAM
Ok. Ok. Ok. Alright. You want me to sleep. I will. Too
easy.
He opens the door. He exits.

EXT. CAR. SAME.

ADAM exits the driver’s seat. He approaches to the backseat.


Evan and Chloe exit the backseat and go to the front seats.
Evan enters the driver's seat and Chloe enters the front seat.
Adam enters the backseat.

CUT TO:

INT. CAR. LATER.

.ON BACKSEAT.

ADAM is sleeping, snoring. So is Trevor.

.ON FRONT SEAT.

Evan is looking at him sleeping. Chloe is sleeping on the


front seat as well. Then, Evan closes his eyes and...

...a blanket levitates to ADAM. It opens wide and covers him.


ADAM sleeps comfortable.
Evan then slowly drives and parks the car right behind a
billboard. Evan then takes the keys off and begins to sleep.
Now they're all sleeping inside the car.

FADE TO :
BLACK.
INT. ADAM'S CAR - the day later. morning.

!BANG!

!BANG!

!BANG!

Evan briskly wakes up at the sight of three gunshots. Chloe


and Trevor do not wake up to the sound of the gunshots.
They're both sleeping. Evan then realizes that Adam is not in
the backseat.

EXT. ADAM'S CAR. SAME.

Evan exits the car and walks to Adam, who's shooting at empty
cans.

evan
Hey.

adam
(stops and turns at evan)
Hey.

evan
What are you doing?

adam
Just shooting at some cans i found on the backseat.

!BANG! BANG! BANG!

evan
Can i try?

Adam thinks about this for a second. Then...


adam
Sure.

He hands the gun to Evan, who grabs it. Evan admires the gun.

evan
Whoa.

adam
Knock yourself out. Just don't shoot yourself in the

Evan then points at one can.

ADAM
Ok, are you ready?

EVAN
Yeah.

ADAM
You see the target?

EVAN
I do.

ADAM
All you have to do is breathe in, breathe out, then pull
the trigger. Alright?

EVAN
Ok, got it.

ADAM
Whenever you want.

EVAN takes a moment. He breathes in and out.

!BANG!

He shoots. But misses the fire in the can. He sighs in


disappointment.

EVAN
I suck at this.
ADAM
Now, that's alright. You don't need to worry about it.
Listen, all you need to do is point the gun exactly to your
target. Just -- Imagine you're on a football play right now,
ok? The bullet is the ball and the ark is the can. You need to
kick the ball so it enters the ark.

EVAN
I don't like football. I also suck at it.

ADAM
Ok then, let's just pretend -- Just imagine you're on a
boxing match. The bullet and the gun are the boxing glove and
your oponent is the can. Take your time and then pull the
trigger.

Adam backs off. EVAN points the gun at the can, takes a slow
breath and pulls the trigger, and --

--the bullet arrives on the CAN. THE CAN IS SHOT! ADAM and
EVAN get cheery. They cheer, celebrate, they get happy.

ADAM
Look at that, you did it.

EVAN
I did it, i got it.

ADAM
Good job, man.

INT. ADAM'S CAR - later.

The car is driving on a forest. Then, it finally arrives on a


house on the forest. A BIG HOUSE. This is Adam's vacation
house.

adam
Here we are.

The trio looks at the house.


TREVOR
Amazing.

Adam
I won't say you almost destroyed my car. And i also won't
say you guys owe me a car. So i'll better shut up for now.
Let's get in.

They exit the car.

CUT TO:

INT. ADAM'S VACATION HOUSE - MAIN ROOM. SECONDS LATER.

It is a colorful, beautiful house. It has A KITCHEN, A DINNING


ROOM, AN OFFICE, A SECOND FLOOR WITH MANY UNOCCUPIED ROOMS, A
BATHROOM, ETC. AND A THIRD FLOOR WITH ONE BIG BED, A WINDOW
WHERE YOU CAN SEE THE WEATHER, A BATHROOM AND A CLOSET. The
group enters into the house.

Welcome to the hideout.

The trio admires the house, that has painted wood on its
walls.

adam
So, make sure you stay comfy. Feel like in home.

Evan finds a photo of ADAM and his son TOMAS, smiling and
laughing as they look at the camera. Adam notices Evan, who
admires the photo.

adam

dance to the song. Evan looks at him dance and laughs.

Yeah! It's the best fucking song in the world!

adam
It's good that you guys have such cool musical taste.
CHLOE is moving across the house. It looks like she likes the
song too. Evan approaches to her. He takes her.

CHLOE
What are you Doing???
Evan starts taking her hands.

EVAN
I'm teaching you how to dance.
Evan teaches her. They both are hugging, and slowly, gently
and really great, they are moving. Evan is practicing more
dance movements with her.

EVAN
Ok, now, I'm going to teach you the best part.

He teaches her. It looks like it's working. They're both


dancing. He makes her spin, then, go back and dance together
again. The perfect dance.

As they dance gently, they hug again.

Trevor and Evan are outside.

The third floor has nothing but a giant king-sized bed that's
close to the window. The window has a balcony in front of it.
And there's a bathroom in the back of the room.

CHLOE is standing at the balcony, looking and admiring the


weather.
After being chased by the forces of evil, she deserves this, a
quiet, calm moment, enjoying the nighty breeze.

Evan walks upstairs and approaches to her.

Hey, Chloe.

She turns.

CHLOE
Hey.

Adam and Trevor are going to the store, to buy some
drinks and maybe some snacks, do you want to come with us?
It's not -- I'm not asking you out for like a date, it's just
an Invitation with a friend--

They both walk downstairs.

.int. beach. minutes later.

The gang is running so fast. They are laughing. Evan catches


CHLOE. They both fall on the soft sand.

CUT TO:
INT. BAY TOWN. moments later.

The gang was running on a BAY TOWN on the now relaxing night.
CHLOE was like on the mood, like, she never felt like this in
her entire life. So happy, full of life in her. The gang
ARRIVES to: THE DRINK STORE. Evan buys a Pepsi. TREVOR buys a
Coca-Cola. CHLOE buys a Sprite. Adam buys a beer. Adam pays
the drinks. The gang is still running.

On a colorful wall, Trevor, CHLOE and Evan pose to Adam who is


now taking photos at them.

A radio was sounding. Evan invites CHLOE to dance. They do it


very well. Looks like they've got the moves.

The whole town is lighted on.

CUT TO:

.int. beach. minutes later.

The gang is playing, running and falling on the sand. Evan


flips and falls on the sand. CHLOE does it too. She lands on
his side. They both laugh and look at the sky. It is a
beautiful landscape. TREVOR is playing on the sand, as Adam.

Evan and Chloe are lying together in the sand. Laughing. They
look at each other. An uncomfortable awkward silence fills the
scene.

CHLOE
I don't know. What?

Chloe chuckles. So does Evan.

Adam approaches them.

EVAN was wandering around in a room. As he sees Chloe's


Backpack. He is focused on it. He opens it. He sees a comic,
as he raises it, we see it:

EVAN turns surprised as he sees CHLOE.

I was just wandering around.

CHLOE:

Scientists and doctors were experimenting with baby CHLOE. She

One scientist injects on her the same UNSTOPPABLE,


unbreakable, venom that's her powers.

INT. OTHER ROOM.

A five year-old CHLOE is tied, unconscious to a bed. On the


back of her neck, a doctor was putting the tattoo 25 on her.
(That explains it all. Now, it makes sense).

CHLOE: (O.S)
They made my powers. They changed my identity. My name,
born date, everything.
INT. LABORATORY ROOM.

!BACK TO SCENE.

CHLOE: (O.S)
They used me as a weapon. They wanted me to become an
assassin. Of course, every TIME I resisted, they kept
torturing me, "punishing" me.
INT. FIELD TEST.

We see a glimpse of an eleven year old CHLOE being kicked,
punched.

CHLOE: (O.S)
It was madness. I felt more than hurt.
INT. OFFICE ROOM.

A doctor, Lapostol, approaches to Roger and Franco, who are


sitting in chairs, next to a large table.

LAPOSTOL:
She's getting more difficult. What do you recommend,
sir??

FRANCO:
Well, (SIGHS) you're a doctor. Try spending some days
talking to her. Try teaching her something.
INT. CHLOE'S ROOM.

Doctor Lapostol is sitting next to a twelve year OLD CHLOE.

LAPOSTOL:
Fear only attracts more fear. You shouldn't be afraid,
fear always goes away by the passing of time.

CHLOE: (O.S)
Doctor Lapostol was the only closest friend to me. He
told me stories, he started caring about me. He was the only
person in the laboratory who cared about me.

she wakes up, she opens her eyes as she sees Lapostol, sitting

CHLOE takes some minutes OF HER TIME.

LAPOSTOL arrives with a comic book of Superman. CHLOE notices

What is that???

LAPOSTOL:
Oh this, this is a comic book I bought on a store. It's
from DC. You'll love it, but YOU'LL love more MARVEL. They're
the real thing.

CHLOE checks it. She's amazed.

LAPOSTOL:
How cool would it be to be a superhero??? Have the
ability to save and most of all, help people. Have
superpowers.

CHLOE checks on pages.

LAPOSTOL lays on the side of her.

It's a rainy night indeed. We're behind Lapostol, who's


walking to his car. Then -- As he's about to open it with his
car keys --
FRANCO
Mr. Lapostol!

Lapostol turns and sees Franco approaching to him.

LAPOSTOL:
Mr. Franco?

FRANCO
Do you still think we're all the fucking enemy?

Franco then shoots at Lapostol, two times in the chest. He


gasps and grunts in pain. Franco shoots him again, now on the
EYE! Lapostol falls to the ground.

FRANCO

He walks back to the lab.

INT. ADAM'S VACATION HOUSE - THIRD FLOOR. PRESENT DAY.

Evan is still with Chloe.

She backs off. She takes off her pocket EVAN'S phone.

She starts rubbing between songs. EVAN notices it and


approaches to her.

EVAN:
Are you trying to calm the pain with music???

She nods as he stops her on one song.

EVAN:

CHLOE:

EVAN:

QUEEN. The greatest band I've ever heard in my life. Probably
the greatest band of rock of all time. I used to heard it with
my mom. We love every song of it. No voice compares to the

CHLOE thinks as Evan presses on the song, it plays. He takes
off her pocket the earbuds (because when CHLOE was about to
tell her story, she literally takes off the earbuds off the
phone), and he puts them on the phone.

EVAN:
It's better if you hear it this way.

As he puts the earphones on her, the song was turning into a


background music. CHLOE'S eyes were glowing. She was
impressed. She was jaw dropped.

EVAN leans on her.

EVAN:

CHLOE:

EVAN:

He takes one earphone and puts it on his ear, close to hers.


They're both listening to the song. They start dancing gently
and slowly.

EVAN:

CHLOE nods happily.

CHLOE:

EVAN is flattered.

EVAN:

CHLOE:

EVAN:

CHLOE is impressed, she starts touching her dyed hair. She


smiles.

CHLOE:

EVAN:

CHLOE:

EVAN:

CHLOE:

She takes his hands. They're both looking at each other. As


they're both moving gently and slowly. She doesn't know how to

They're moving around. She leans to him and she embraces him.
He does the same.

!SILENCE, THEN--

CHLOE:
Plus, changing the theme, you're also honest and clean. I

EVAN:

CHLOE:

EVAN:
Well, she was Camille. It happened a year ago. I started

He chuckles.

As both were looking at each other, they started moving gently

they were about to kiss, she realizes something is wrong and
she takes off the earphone.

CHLOE leaves, EVAN pauses the song and takes the earphone off
him.

As she was about to leave, EVAN uses his mental powers to make
her spin to him. As she arrives to him, he kisses her. She
gasps as she was raising her hand, to probably occasion pain
on him.

He backs off. She was wondering. He realizes what he's done.


He's now with a huge embarrassment on him.

EVAN:
I'm so sorry. I shouldn't have done that. I know you
don't like that. And I get it. I'll accept that you hit me.

He leaves, embarrassed. She was still standing and surprised.

EVAN:
I'll let you sleep on here alone if you want, I can sleep
downstairs. If there's no problem with that--
As he was going straight into the door, some kinda invisible
force stops the door, closes it and locks it. EVAN gasps and
turns to realize CHLOE did it.

EVAN:
Is everything ok??

!CHLOE APPROACHES TO HIM.

CHLOE:
Listen, you haven't done anything bad. I can see we make
mistakes sometimes. And second, how did you know I didn't like
it???

EVAN:
Trevor told me. Outside the house.

CHLOE thinks.

CHLOE:

We see the beautiful glowing water of the beach as waves were
going straight to the sand.

INT. THE THIRD FLOOR. LATER.

Evan and Chloe are sleeping together, NOT NAKED and NOT HALF-
NAKED. They're just sleeping together.

They're both hugging and softly caressing each other.

EVAN opens his eyes.

EVAN:
Want me to close the Window?? I think you might get cold.
Someone might be watching us.

CHLOE:
Nobody is watching us while we're here. Trust me. Does

EVAN:

CHLOE:

EVAN:

INT. PARK FOREST. DAY. FLASHBACK (ADAM'S DREAM)


WE LOOK UP, to see the wonderful trees blowing on a
wonderfully sunny day. Then, we go down as we see a RED CAR
arriving to the scene. Exiting the car, there's a man, almost
over weighted. He has curly hair and a growing beard. He is
UNCLE PABLO (42). Exiting the driver's seat, there's his wife
ALEJANDRA (37). And their young son ALEJANDRO (ALEJO; 8). They
all walk somewhere. They pass us. Alejo has a wrapped gift on
his hands. Due to its medium size, we can assure it's an
action figure like those from the superheroes. We turn to
wherever they're walking to: A FAMILY OF TWO. The young
father, ADAM and his son Tomas (7).

Hi! How are we doing?
They say their hellos by kissing on the cheek.

UNCLE PABLO
So sorry we arrived late. There was a huge traffic when
we got out.

To Tomas:

UNCLE PABLO
Hey there, champ. How are you doing?

TOMAS
Hey uncle Pablo. Hey Alejandro!

ALEJANDRO

He presents a gift to Tomas.

Alejo, there's a giant jumping castle in there. Go and

Adam sees how Tomas and Alejandro run to the giant jumping
castle. Uncle Pablo approaches to Adam.

The whole family is reunited. Cousins, brothers, uncles,


aunts, grandpas, grandmas. Every member of the family is
reunited. Tomas and the kids are playing on the giant jumping
castle. Adam is talking to Alejandra. Tomas jumps out of the
giant jumping castle. He tries to find his shoes, and as he
finds them, he puts them on. He goes for a walk.

INT. PARK FOREST - FOREST - MOMENTS LATER

Tomas walks alone on the forest of the park. He just walks


alone. He grabs a stick he finds on the ground and begins to
play with it. Then, he hears footsteps. He sees a man walking
nearby him. The man stops in front of Tomas.

CUT TO:

INT. PARK FOREST - SAME.

Adam then notices Tomas is gone. Adam notices Tomas is not on


the giant jumping castle. Now it's time to be so fucking
alarmed.

adam
Wait, where's Tomas?

ALEJANDRA
Tomas? Isn't he in the castle?

adam
No, he's not there. I don't see him there.

ALEJANDRA
What?

adam
Oh God.

He begins to be looking for him.

adam
Tomas?

UNCLE PABLO
What is it?

adam
(alarmed)
It's Tomas. I can't find him anywhere. He's not in the
castle.

UNCLE PABLO
What?! But he was right here.

adam
Yeah, but he's gone now. Maybe he walked away or
something like that
He begins looking everywhere. Alarmed.

adam
Tomas?! TOMAS?! TOMAS!

CUT BACK TO:

INT. PARK FOREST - FOREST - SAME.

Tomas is with the man.

MAN
Hi. What a nice stick you've got.

Tomas is silent.

He just doesn't move a muscle. He does blink, by the way, But


he doesn't move.

INT. PARK FOREST. SAME.

A MONTAGE OF AN ALARMED ADAM DESPERATELY TRYING TO LOOK FOR


HIS SON. HE LOOKS EVERYWHERE. HE ASKS EVERYONE ON THE PARK IF
THEY HAVE SEEN HIM, BUT NO GOOD RESULT. THEY KNOW NOTHING OF
HIM.

The cops arrived at the scene.

A COP is with Adam, who's teary.

COP
So, you've last seen him where??

adam
On the castle, playing.

The COP writes on his small notebook.

On the castle, playing. And you didn't saw him leaving?

She sees Uncle Pablo approaching to them.

SO? Anything good?

UNCLE PABLO
We looked everywhere. We checked the entire zone. And
he's --

gone? Is he still alive?

UNCLE PABLO
He's not here.
Adam sighs in despair. Uncle Pablo comforts him by embracing
him. Adam begins to cry.

UNCLE PABLO
It's alright. They will find him. We will find him.

FADE TO :
BLACK.

SMASH TO.:
INT. FOREST - THE NEXT DAY

It's not the park. It's somewhere else. The trees slowly blow.
The grass is also blowing. The day has already arrived. The
daylight sounds illuminate. There's grass blowing. The sounds
of the trees and the grass blowing sound so calm. It produces
a calm feeling on us. It makes us relax, it makes the viewer
get calmed in an easy way. This is like the world’s best
relaxing therapy of all time. Nature.

We see various shots of a forest. It looks haunting and


beautiful. Like if it was taken from a painting or from a
Disney movie. We start to see various shots of this beautiful
forest. On the final shot, we see an abandoned house, on the
middle of a circled spot with the big trees surrounding it and
with green grass all around the circled spot. The moon is
shining brightly as the house rests on broad moonlight.

ADRIANO

emiliano

ADRIANO

Coming out of the woods, we see two young boys. Their names
are Emiliano and Adriano, obviously brothers. Adriano is 8
years old while Emiliano is 14 years old. Both packed with
flashlights on their hands, illuminating their way as they
walk. Adriano and Emiliano find the house. They stop on the
grass.

EMILIANO
There it is, man.

ADRIANO
Whoa.

emiliano
What do you think?
ADRIANO
It looks abandoned.

emiliano
No shit, Sherlock. Who cares if it looks abandoned? Let's
go.
Emiliano runs to the entrance of the house. Adriano thinks
about it for a moment. Emiliano turns and stops running.

emiliano
Well? What are you waiting for?

ADRIANO
I don’t know about this, man, alright?? I mean, what if
we get in trouble?? What if we both die in there??

Emiliano scoffs.

emiliano
What are you talking about? Oh what is it now? Are you a
chicken? Are you a fucking pussy??

ADRIANO
I just don't want to get inside, that's all.

emiliano

Adriano doesn’t fight back. He lets those words sink in.

about the situation.

slowly opens. This shocks Emiliano, who laughs in surprise.

EMILIANO

As he turns, he sees that his little brother had already left.
Emiliano looks everywhere he can. Then, as he stops looking,
he scoffs. He turns to the house as he enters inside.

INT. ABANDONED HOUSE. SAME.

The temple is House. It looks empty. The windows are sealed


with woods marking an X on it. As Emiliano shines his way
inside the temple with the flashlight, he shines everywhere.

Whoa.
A QUICK MONTAGE of EMILIANO as he navigates on the abandoned
house. He finally ends his search on the first floor. He
approaches the stairs, to the second floor. He begins to walk
upstairs.

INT. ABANDONED HOUSE - SECOND FLOOR - SAME TIME

EMILIANO walks upstairs. He illuminates everywhere he can.


Then, he walks to the bedroom.

FRONT-FRAMING: Emiliano enters the bedroom. And what he sees


next begins to disgust him, horrify him, terrify him, shock
him, all of those emotions at the same time.

CUT TO:

INT. ADAM’S CAR - LATER THAT NIGHT

ADAM drives furiously on the forest road. Uncle Pablo is with


him. He finally sees the police cars waiting on the side of
the road. Uncle Pablo is with him.

ADAM
This is it.
He pulls over. He quickly exits the car.

INT. FOREST - MOMENTS LATER

Adam begins to run through the forest. He then ends up outside


the big abandoned house on the woods. She sees various
policemen. He runs to the house. Pablo chases after him.

UNCLE PABLO
Adam! Wait!
A POLICEMAN notices him. He stops Adam's way in.

POLICEMAN
You can't go inside.

Adam
Is that my son inside? Please, I need to see if that's my
son inside.

Then, two PARAMEDICS are translating a wrapped body to an


ambulance that's parked on the side of the forest road. Adam
sees the body wrapped in black. Adam chases after the body.
But the POLICEMAN, including Uncle Pablo, stop him.

adam
Stop! Stop it! Let me see him!

UNCLE PABLO
Adam, stop it! Stop it now!

adam
((alarmed; in despair))
LET ME SEE HIM! IS THAT MY SON IN THERE?! IS THAT MY
FUCKING SON IN THERE?!

He begins to cry.

adam
Is that my son in there??
He suddenly stops resisting. He succumbs to the crying.

CUT BACK TO:

INT. ADAM'S VACATION HOUSE - MAIN ROOM. morning. PRESENT DAY.


Adam gasps as he wakes up. It's already morning. He looks
around. And realizes that what he lived was a flashback, it
was just a dream.

INT. ADAM'S VACATION HOUSE - THIRD FLOOR. MORNING.

Chloe is sleeping by herself on the bed. Evan finishes up


dressing on. He leans in and gives Chloe a kiss on the cheek.
He walks off the room.

CUT TO:

EXT. ADAM'S VACATION HOUSE. SECONDS LATER.

Evan walks outside and sees the quiet, solemn, calm morning
ambiance. Trevor approaches to him.

TREVOR
Having fun upstairs?

evan
No. How did you knew?

TREVOR
I just -- knew.

evan
How long have i slept?

TREVOR
Around 7 hours. Is she still sleeping?

evan
Yeah, i think so.

Adam approaches to them.

adam
So, listen you guys. I'm gonna be at the supermarket. I'm

We're being hunted by a secret lab. I guess you need to
go on your own.

He heads for his car. He drives off. Trevor turns to Evan.

Adam is buying some stuff on the supermarket of the bay town.


ROGER, one of Franco's co-workers, the same guy from Chloe's
flashback story, is talking on the phone.

ROGER

me. My last Wait, don't hang up on me. No!!!

The conversation is over.

ROGER
God damn it!!! I gotta get those kids, and get rid off
that fucking driver man.

ADAM realizes. He begins to wonder.


Kids? Driver man? Wait. This could be...Oh shit! He is now
beginning to get worried.
ROGER
I'll impress my boss. He'll ascend me. Better, a
promotion. That's why i need to get those kids and kill that
fucking driver, whoever he was driving them.

Adam begins to get more worried. He goes to the FEMALE


CASHIER.

Adam is at the female cashier. He's paying up the things he


just bought.

INT. ADAM'S VACATION HOUSE - MAIN ROOM. night.

Adam is watching the news on the TV. There's a reporting of


the picture of Adam on the news. Now, there's an Uber Driver
being wanted by the authorities.

Then, three knocks on the door are emitted. Adam turns and
looks at it.

Who is it?

No answer. Three knocks on the door are emitted again.

Adam rises from the couch and walks to the door. He stands in
front of it.

adam
I said: Who is it?

Silence again. No answer.

Adam opens the door and sees...

...A WHOLE BUNCH OF GUARDS. On front of them, there's ROGER.

ROGER
Evening, sir.

Adam gasps. He gets scared.

adam
Who the fuck are you?

ROGER
Messenger service.

adam
Yeah, you're some kind of messenger service who came here
with your own messenger service men.

ROGER
See, i'm not here to arrest you. I'm just here because i
want to cooperate with you. I believe that you have something
of mine that belongs to me and my men.

adam
Something? I've got nothing. Sorry, but I've got nothing
that belongs to you.
.ON THE STAIRCASE:

Chloe is watching the scene in secret. She sees Adam and the
Guards, commanded by Roger. They're still talking.
Chloe then quickly runs upstairs.

INT. ADAM'S VACATION HOUSE - THIRD FLOOR. SAME.

Chloe runs to Evan and Trevor, who are sitting on the bed.
They rise when they see Chloe running to them. She stops in
front of them.

evan
What? What is it?

CHLOE
They're here. They've found us.

EVAN & TREVOR


(whispering)
What?!

Chloe shushes them.

CHLOE
They're here. They're gonna catch us. They're gonna send
us back.

evan
Fucking shit.

CHLOE
What do we do now?

They’re all in despair right now.

Then, Trevor has an idea.

TREVOR
Alright. I have an idea. But you won’t like it.

EVAN
What?

CHLOE
What is it? What’s your idea?

TREVOR
Listen to me, I’ll levitate you so you can get to the ground
safe and sound. Then, you’re gonna have to levitate me and
bring me to the ground.

CHLOE

EVAN
Great idea, Trev.

TREVOR
Alright, Chloe, you'll go first. Evan, go check if the guards
are inside.

EVAN
Got it.

Evan walks down the stairs. Chloe looks at Evan go, she looks
worried.

TREVOR
Chloe, he’ll be fine. Don’t worry about him. Okay, are you
ready?

CHLOE
Yeah. I’m ready.

TREVOR
Okay. Stand on the balcony.

Chloe walks to the balcony. She stands there. Then, Trevor


starts to slowly levitate her with his powers. He levitates
her. She slowly starts to float to the outside. She finally
lands on her feet to the outside.

TREVOR
Great. Now it’s my turn.

CUT TO:
ON EVAN
He walks downstairs. He then secretly sees Adam trying to
enter into some kind of reason with the guards, and
especially, with Roger.
Evan secretly watches. He just watches. Then, he runs back
upstairs.

CUT TO:
EXT. ADAM’S VACATION HOUSE. SECONDS LATER.

Trevor lands on his feet to the ground outside Adam’s vacation


house. Then, Evan stands at the balcony of the third floor.
Chloe and Trevor look at him.

TREVOR
How’s the situation from downstairs?

EVAN
Stable.

TREVOR
Stable? Alright, that’s good. Are you ready?

EVAN
Yeah.

TREVOR
Alright.

Trevor and Chloe close their eyes. And suddenly, they use
their mental abilities to make Evan to levitate and float away
from the balcony. He lands on the ground roughly. He grunts.

CUT TO:
INT. ADAM’S VACATION HOUSE - DOWNSTAIRS. SAME.
The GUARDS, ROGER and ADAM heard that grunting. Adam gasps. He
gets worried.

Roger starts to laugh.

ROGER
Didn’t your mother tell you to not to lie to everyone?

ADAM
Yeah, she just told me not to lie at her and only to lie at
the people i don’t know--
Adam attacks the guards and shoots one in the face. But, Roger
shoots Adam in the chest, leaving him totally hurt. Adam
coughs.

Roger laughs again.

ROGER
Now we’ve got a fighter here. Take him outside. Beat the shit
out of him.

The guards drag him outside.

GUARD
(to roger)
What do we do now?

ROGER
You know the drill. Get the fucking kids, and get this whole
fucking thing over with.

GUARD
You mean search the entire fucking house?

ROGER
No, they’re already outside. Find them.

GUARD

(to the other guards)
Move outside!

While half of the guards run, armed, to the forest, the other
half of the guards are viciously and brutally beating the shit
out of Adam.

CUT TO:
EXT. ADAM’S VACATION HOUSE - FOREST. SAME.

The three youngsters are running. The guards hear the running
noises, they run to the youngsters, with flashlights and guns.

TREVOR
Let’s split up.

CHLOE
Okay.

The three youngsters split up. They go on their own directions


now.

Evan hides behind a tree, strongly breathing. Chloe keeps on


running, just like Trevor.

ON CHLOE

She strongly inhales and exhales. She covers her mouth.

After a couple of seconds, she doesn’t hear any more


footsteps.

She slowly walks out of behind the tree she was hiding on.

She looks behind him. There are no guards in the forest. She
looks in the front. She sighs. She is all alone now.

Then, she hears a noise. She gasps and turns back.

CHLOE
Evan?

Then, BANG! A GUARD SHOOTS AT HER ON THE GUTS! Chloe gasps and
grunts. She is paralyzed and hurt. She can’t do anything to
defend herself, she just needs to stop the pain.

She falls to the ground, defeated.

ROGER runs to her, aiming a gun to Chloe’s head.

ROGER
Don’t worry, sweetheart. The pain will cease very soon.
(to the guards)
Boys!

The guards approach. Roger throws the hurt Chloe to them.

ROGER
Get him to the truck.

Roger looks forward.


GUARD 6
What about the others, sir?

ROGER
The others? Nah. Fuck them. They’re gone now. They’ll figure
out their own ways together.

He turns to the guards, who are still quiet as fuck.

ROGER
Well?! WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING?! MOVE OUT!

THE GUARDS move out.

ON ADAM

He’s down on the floor, hurt and paralyzed. He can’t get up.
The damage that the guards have done to his body is
irreparable.

The guards are still beating the living shit out of him, with
kicks, punches and beatings.

ROGER arrives with the guards holding Chloe, who’s now with
this metallic collar on her neck.

If any young boy or girl who has powers gets that metallic
neck collar, he or she will no longer use his / her powers.

ROGER
(to the guards beating down adam)
Alright guys. Leave him alone.

The guards stop beating ADAM. They all start to wonder.

RANDOM GUARD
And the other two?

ROGER
What? Oh, those two? They are no longer our problem. With this
girl is enough. Let’s move out.

Adam, hurt, can barely speak.

ADAM
...No...

A GUARD, who was wetting the house’s floor with all the liquor
in the house, sets the house on fire. Now the house is on
fire. Adam watches it burn. He can’t believe what he’s seeing.

A hurt ADAM watches how the guards put Chloe on a truck.


They’re all getting inside their trucks. They drive away.

Adam stays there. He then closes his eyes, stops breathing....

....and dies.

MINUTES LATER:

Adam still lays there, dead.

Then, EVAN and TREVOR run to the scene. They notice the burned
up house.

EVAN
What the fuck happened?

They spot Adam on the ground, collapsed and dead. They both
get shocked, alarmed and horrified.

TREVOR
Oh, shit. Oh, shit. Oh my God.

EVAN
A-Adam?

EVAN quickly lunges to Adam, who looks like he has been beaten
the shit out of him. Evan gasps. He quickly takes his pulse
and has no good results whatsoever. He begins to cry.

Trevor lunges at him. He prepares his powers. He touches


Adam’s forehead with one hand, and the other is on his bloody
wound.

EVAN
What’re you doing?

TREVOR
Stand back.
EVAN
Why?

TREVOR
Just do what I say, alright? Stand back.

Evan, convinced, rises and stands back.

Then, Trevor closes his eyes and he begins to use his healing
powers to heal Adam’s face injury and his bloody wound. Trevor
grunts.

Evan just watches, curious like a small child.

Then, after a couple of seconds, the injuries of Adam are


cured.

Adam strongly gasps and inhales from his mouth. He is alive,


again.

Evan gasps of happiness. Trevor opens his eyes and sees Adam,
and he smiles.

Adam strongly breathes. He looks at Evan and Trevor.

ADAM
Why are you looking at me?

Evan cries and laughs of happiness. He quickly hugs Adam.

A father-son-like moment.

Adam embraces him. Trevor joins in the hug.

ADAM
Man, that really fucking hurt.

Then, Evan realizes something important.

EVAN
Where is Chloe?

The hug breaks. They all look at each other.


ADAM
Oh, yeah. Chloe. She, uh...

TREVOR
She what?

ADAM
They took her.

Trevor and Evan want to hear again what Adam just said.

EVAN
What?

TREVOR
What was that?

ADAM
The bad guys. They took her.

Trevor and Chloe then start to realize one horrible thing.

TREVOR
Which means...

EVAN
...she is now being taken back to the lab.

TREVOR
(can’t believe what is happening)
Shit!

The truth is this: They don’t want to go back there. They hate
it there. They always hated it there.

ADAM
What are we going to do now?

EVAN
(sighs)
I don’t know. I don’t want to go back to the lab. But I don’t
want anything bad to happen to Chloe.

Trevor and Evan look at each other.


TREVOR
We have to go back.

Evan shakes his head.

EVAN
I’m not coming back.

TREVOR
Wait, I’m gonna see where she’s at right now.

Trevor closes his eyes, and after a couple of seconds, he


opens them back.

TREVOR
Alright, good news is that she’s okay. She’s on a house.

ADAM
A house?

EVAN
Where’s this house?

CUT TO:

INT. HOUSE - BASEMENT. SAME.

CHLOE, now with her gunshot wound cured, and still with the
collar on her neck, wakes up and realizes that she’s tied to a
chair.

She tries to release. She even tries to use her powers, but
she can’t. She still has the collar on her neck.

She pants, scared, anxious, worried.

CHLOE
Hello? HELLO?! EVAN?! TREVOR?! ADAM?! Is there somebody in
here?!? Help!!

She begins to cry, defeated.

Then, someone enters the room. ROGER himself.

He approaches the scared CHLOE.


ROGER
Well, well, well. At least you’re alive.

CHLOE
Where’s my friends? WHAT DID YOU DO TO THEM?!

ROGER
Your friends? Oh yeah, I still need to answer that question
for myself.

CHLOE
WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU DO TO THEM?!

ROGER
Relax, they’re okay. You think you’re a normal girl and shit.
You’re just a fucking weapon to all of us.

CHLOE
I am not a weapon.

ROGER
Yeah, you are.

CHLOE
Get fucked and die.

ROGER chuckles and smiles maliciously.

ROGER
When you were little, you didn't say curse words. What
happened to you? You, the innocent, fragile, frail little girl
that I once knew?

CHLOE
SHE’S FUCKING GONE!

ROGER
No she isn’t. She isn’t.

CHLOE
Why am I here? Why are we not in the van?

ROGER
You want to get in the van to the lab right now?
CHLOE
No, I was just asking why you brought me here.

ROGER
The road to the lab is way too fucking long. We’re just here
to wait for Franco and his guys to pick you up. How’s that
sound, heroine?

Then, the two hear some strong GUN FIRING sounds coming from
the house. The two gasp. ROGER takes out his gun and walks to
the door. Before he exits the room, he turns to Chloe.

ROGER
Stay right here, don’t go anywhere!

CHLOE
The fuck do you think I’m doing?

ROGER exits the room.

CHLOE, worried, also begins to hear sounds of flesh being torn


apart and fresh blood being splattered everywhere. This scares
Chloe.

After a couple of seconds, she hears footsteps approaching the


basement. She gets scared, but prepared.

Then, EVAN enters the basement. Chloe, surprised, smiles.

CHLOE
Evan?

EVAN
(smiles)
Chloe. Oh thank God you’re alive!

He runs at her. Evan then uses his powers to untie Chloe from
the chair. And unlocks the collar with the key that one of the
guards had.

After that, Chloe stands up.

EVAN
Trevor told me where you were--
CHLOE then hugs and embraces EVAN, who also embraces her.

EVAN
Are you okay?

CHLOE
I am now. Thanks for coming.

EVAN
No problem.

Then, ADAM and TREVOR enter the room. They both sigh in relief
as they see Chloe doing fine and alright.

TREVOR
Adam? Got something to say?

ADAM
I think we should get back to the fucking car before more
fucking guys like these start to show up.

The hug between Chloe and Evan breaks.

EVAN
Yep.

CHLOE
Good idea.

They all walk out of the scene.

CUT TO:

INT. ADAM’S CAR. DAY - LATER THAT DAY.

They’re all in silence. Adam drives thoughtful while the other


three are also thoughtful.

TREVOR
Hey Adam?

ADAM
Mhm?
TREVOR
I know it’s, like, too much to ask, but...

ADAM
Tell me.

TREVOR
...where will we go now?

ADAM
What do you mean?

TREVOR
Where will we hide now? A motel won’t work. And plus, there's
the whole army of guards chasing us.

ADAM
I’ll think of something, alright? I’ll find another place
where we can settle in.

TREVOR
Good. Thank you.

ADAM
(sighs)
I mean, fuck. They’ve destroyed my vacation house. Right in
front of me. They destroyed my vacation house and now you’re
suggesting for me to find you a good place where you three can
settle in?

TREVOR
I was just asking.

ADAM
I'll think of something. Just give me some time, okay?

TREVOR
Give you TIME?? TIME??? Man, you had the whole fucking time of
the world to think.

EVAN
Trevor, just calm down, alright?

TREVOR
Do not tell me to calm down, I mean, look at the state of
it!!! No house, or supplies, or anything because of you.

EVAN
This is not you--

TREVOR
(turns to evan)
And then there’s you. You, you, you, fucking you. If it wasn’t
for you, we wouldn’t be here on this shitty road trip trying
to find somewhere safe to stay. If it wasn’t for you, I would
still have a guardian. A family member. A friend. A relative.
Someone who can take care of me. And if it wasn’t for your
shitbag brother, we wouldn’t be here.

Beat. Evan gets stunned with what Trevor just said.

EVAN
What did you say about my brother?

TREVOR
Whatever.

EVAN
What was that?

TREVOR
Forget about it.

EVAN
No Trevor. What was that?

ADAM
Alright, you know what? That’s it. That’s fucking it.

He stops the car.

CUT TO:

INT. FOREST TRAIL. SAME.

The car stops. Adam furiously walks out of the car and opens
the door to Chloe, Evan and Trevor.

ADAM
Get the fuck out of my motherfucking car right fucking now!

CHLOE
I promise we will stop!
(turns to the boys)
Right?

TREVOR
No, you know what? Let’s keep it that way.

Trevor gets out of the car. He walks off. Chloe walks out of
the car too, walking to Trevor.

CHLOE
Trevor! Fucking just come back already!
(turns to evan, who’s still on the car)
Evan for fuck sake, come help me!

EVAN
I don’t want to.

CHLOE
Why not?!

EVAN
He said some horrible things about my brother, alright? The
only family that I ever had.

CHLOE
It was just a joke, alright? Friends get to tell each other
some mean jokes.

EVAN
Yeah, but not mean jokes that involve dead family members.

CHLOE
Can you just get out of the car and just help me? We’re
supposed to do this together.

Evan sighs, stressed out.

EVAN
Goddamnit.

He gets out of the car and walks with Chloe to Trevor.


Then, they hear various doors closing. They stop and turn to
Adam who walks to the driver’s seat.

Evan runs to him. He tries to viciously and violently open the


driver's door.

EVAN
Adam. Adam! ADAM! Adam, please, I beg you, open this door
right now.

ADAM
(from inside the car)
For what?? There's nowhere to go, we're basically stranded, my
vacation house is now BURNED to the fucking ground and we're
actually FUCKED!!! So, I'm just going to drive away in this
car and just going to spend this worthless time on doing
nothing!! How’s that for a new plan?!

EVAN
OPEN THE GODDAMN DOOR!

ADAM
No, I won't. You guys fucked me, you fucked my vacation house,
and we're being chased. Why have I bothered on helping you???

EVAN
You can still help us. Please, Adam--

But Adam won’t listen, he just drives away. Evan runs after
him, yelling at him to stop.

Then, as Evan stops, he extends his hands and makes Adam’s car
stop.

As Evan uses all the power he has, he makes the car go in


reverse and go back to them.

Then, a part of Evan’s forehead starts to bleed slowly. Evan


grunts as he’s starting to get tired.

Then, Evan stops and falls to his knees. The car starts again
and drives off.

Evan looks at the ground, defeated.


Chloe runs to him.

CHLOE
Evan! Evan. Are you okay?

Evan touches his forehead and cleans the small bit of blood
from his forehead.

EVAN
Yeah, I’m fine. I’m okay now.

Chloe helps Evan to get up.

CHLOE
Come on, we have to go now.

EVAN
But where? We have nowhere to go now.

CHLOE
Let’s just go find Trevor and then we’ll see if we can find a
new place to go, alright?

EVAN
Alright.

They walk where Trevor walked.

CUT TO:

INT. CONNOR'S ROOM. NIGHT.

Connor has his phone with him. He is in his contacts section.


We see on his phone the words: EVAN. He wants to press on the
"CALL" button. But he's afraid that it will risk his life. He
calls him anyway. It beeps. The phone is answered.

INTERCUT WITH:

INT. FOREST. NIGHT.

While Chloe is sleeping, Evan answers Trevor’s call.

evan
Hey.

Connor is surprised to hear that voice.

evan
Con? You there?

CONNOR
Hi.

evan
Hey.

CONNOR
Ho-How are you?

evan
So far so good, you?

CONNOR
I'm good, right here. Can't stop being interviewed to
shit.

evan
Have you told anything yet or...?

CONNOR
No, I haven't told anything about you, or your friends,
or where you're going. You and me are good, alright?

evan
Glad to hear that.

CONNOR
Dude, where are you?? I've been trying to reach you for
days. Are you ok?? What happened???

evan
I'm good. Alright. I'm ok. I'm fine. Are you alone? No
cops around you?

CONNOR
I'm on my room. I'm on my own right now.

evan
Good.

CONNOR
I've heard about what happened. At the hospital. Your
brother....I'm so sorry, man.

evan
Yeah, I'm sorry too. Con, can i tell you something?

CONNOR
Sure. Yeah. Anything. What is it?

evan
I don't think I might come back.

CONNOR
Why?

evan
I'm being hunted by a group of fuckers. I don't know what
they want. I'm sure they want me. They want to take me
somewhere, i guess.

CONNOR
Well, is there anyway that you can come back??

Evan inhales and exhales.

evan
I don't know. Maybe. I'm working on it, but I promise
that I will try to come back.

CONNOR
Ok.

evan
It's just that.....I don't want to risk your life. I
don't want to put you in danger.

CONNOR
I know. The streets nowadays are filled with dangerous,
fucked up people like the bad guys you mentioned. Pretty much
my life has always been in danger when I'm living here. But
i'm glad about what you're telling me.
evan
Alright.

CONNOR
Are you alright in there, buddy?

evan
Yeah, i'm fine. I promise, and I don't know when that
moment will come, but I promise to you that I will come back.
Ok??

CONNOR
Alright. Look, I guess I'll see you later, buddy.
Alright?

evan
Yeah. Alright buddy.

He hangs up.

Connor is left there, thoughtful.

Evan is left there, thoughtful.

CUT TO:

INT. FOREST. MORNING.

Evan and Chloe walk in the forest. Then, they hear some trucks
approaching noises.

They stop and turn and see on the distance a bunch of TRUCKS
WITH GUARDS APPROACHING TO THEM.

EVAN
Oh no.

CHLOE
We have to go.

They both run off.

CUT TO:
INT. ADAM’S CAR. SAME.

Adam drives, thoughtful, back to the city, while being on the


road.

As he is checking the visor of the car, the photo of him with


his son falls to his legs. He looks at it.

He stops the car and looks at the photo. This fills him with a
growing sense of sadness.

Then, he hears some trucks approaching noises.

He turns and sees THREE TRUCKS FROM THE LAB quickly driving
the other way, to get the three youngsters.

Adam is stunned, he doesn’t know what to do. Then, he closes


his eyes and sighs.

He turns the car on and drives to the trucks’ direction.

CUT TO:

INT. FOREST. SAME.

There are plenty of armored GUARDS running to wherever Evan,


Chloe and Trevor are.

Evan and Chloe run off, trying to hide. But some guards manage
to find them.

GUARD
There they are!

GUARD #2
Catch them!

Evan and Chloe run for their lives. Chloe uses her powers and
sends some guards flying. The duo keeps running.

As they arrive at a CIRCLED FIELD, they realize that they’re


both surrounded by plenty of GUARDS.
Both gasp and look around, with GUARDS with their own guns
pointing them at the duo.

EVAN
I guess this is it.

Both hold hands. They breathe heavily.

CHLOE
If I die, at least I was happy for once.

GUARD WITH POINTING GUN


Let go of each other right now--!

Then, THE GUARD freezes. He starts to levitate in the air.

They all look at him, wondering.

Chloe and Evan aren’t using their own powers against that
guard.

Then, he EXPLODES! His beheaded head, blood, guts and


dismembered body parts fly everywhere!

Then, TREVOR appears. He manages to attack some guards with


his powers.

Evan and Chloe smile.

Some GUARD shoots him, but Trevor, by using his powers, makes
all bullets to float in front of him. Then, he turns the
bullets to the guards’ direction and as he extends his hands,
the bullets run to the guards’ faces, killing them.

The guards fall to the ground, dead.

Trevor walks to the duo.

CHLOE
It’s you.

TREVOR
It’s me.

He turns at Evan.
TREVOR
I’ve been thinking about what I’ve just said, and uh, I wanted
to apologize.

EVAN
Me too. For putting the two of you into this shitty road trip.

TREVOR
That’s alright, at least it was an adventure.

Evan extends his hand.

EVAN
We’re cool now?

Trevor performs a handshake with Evan.

TREVOR
We’re cool.

More guards appear. The group turns to them.

CHLOE
Yep, apology accepted. Let’s get the fuck out of here.

TREVOR / EVAN
Alright.

They all run off. Chloe uses her powers to block some guards
from running to them.

Then, BANG! A GUARD shoots EVAN in the guts!

He falls to the ground, defeated and hurt.

Chloe and Trevor run to him.

GUARD
Leave him!

Both freeze as the same guard who shot Evan on the guts
approaches him, with some guards by his side.

GUARD
This is your last chance. Give up and come with us now.

CHLOE
No! You want us? You’re gonna have to fucking kill us first!

TREVOR
Yeah! Eat shit!

THE GUARD grabs Evan by the hair and points his gun at his
face. Trevor and Chloe gasp.

FRANCO
Your choice. Either you come with us right now, or I shoot
him.

Trevor and Chloe can’t decide.

EVAN
(hurt)
Please, get out of here. I put you into this, I’m getting you
out of this. I’m sorry. Please, GO! Do what I say!

CHLOE
We can’t.

GUARD
(chuckles maliciously)
I knew you wouldn’t think of anything to do--

Then, SOMEONE SHOOTS AT THE GUARD ON THE FACE! He falls to the


ground, defeated and dead.

They all turn to see AN UNKNOWN GUARD shooting at the other


guards.

While the UNKNOWN guard is shooting at the other guards,


Trevor is healing Evan’s bullet wound.

As the unknown guard finishes, he turns to the group.

He takes his helmet off, and he is revealed: ADAM.

They all smile, surprised.

CHLOE
Adam!

ADAM
Yeah, it’s me.

They all run to him and hug him. Adam hugs them back.

TREVOR
You came back for us.

ADAM
Yeah, I did.

CHLOE
What made you change your mind?

ADAM
I don’t know. I guess I love adventures and I love to share
them with people.

The hug breaks.

ADAM
Still, I have to apologize for leaving you in a forest trail.

EVAN
That’s alright. It’s all forgiven now.

ADAM
Let’s go home.

The four get out of the place.

ON THE GROUP:

They’re all running.

Then, SOME OTHER GUARDS circle them.

Adam prepares his gun.

ADAM
Get ready.
Adam shoots at various guards while the youngsters are
killing, beheading and exploding other guards.

More guards appear. The group keeps doing what they’re doing:
Adam is shooting, while the youngsters are using their powers
to kill the guards in brutal ways.

Then, FRANCO approaches and shoots ADAM IN THE LEG!

Adam yells as he falls to the ground.

Evan gasps as he sees Adam, hurt.

FRANCO approaches ADAM and he points a gun at his face.

FRANCO
My God I wish they could hire more guys like you where we
work.

He loads his gun.

FRANCO
Time to go to Hell, motherfu--

Then, FRANCO freezes. He then starts to slowly levitate.

FRANCO, who can barely move his head, turns to see THE GROUP,
who are using their powers to make the guard levitate.

ADAM watches this, hurt and surprised.

Then, FRANCO’S TWO ARMS ARE EXTRACTED! He screams in PAIN!

Then, HIS TWO LEGS ARE EXTRACTED!

FRANCO screams and cries of pain.

TREVOR
...No more...

CHLOE
...No more...

EVAN
...No more...
Then, THE THREE CLOSE THEIR EYES, and, BY USING THEIR MENTAL
POWERS, START TO RIP FRANCO IN HALF SLOWLY!

As he’s being ripped in half, FRANCO’S GUTS, ORGANS, HIS OWN


BEATING HEART AND A GIANT ABUNDANCE OF BLOOD FALL TO THE
GROUND! It is as shocking as it is satisfying.

Then, they finish. FRANCO is ripped in half. The two halves of


his body fall to the ground.

The three open their eyes.

Then, they hear Adam grunting in pain. They turn to him and
immediately get worried. They run to him.

They quickly lunge at him.

CHLOE
Adam?

ADAM
(hurt)
Hey.

TREVOR
Oh God, can you walk?

ADAM
No, I don’t think so.

EVAN
Chloe, Trevor. Stand back.

CHLOE / TREVOR
What?

EVAN
Do what I say, alright?

CHLOE
Alright.

They stand back. Evan then touches Adam’s bullet wound on his
leg. Evan then closes his eyes...
...and the bullet wound on Adam’s leg starts to disappear.
Adam’s grunting in pain soon starts to cease.

Then, as the bullet wound disappears...Adam stops grunting in


pain. He is now hurt anymore.

The three look at him.

EVAN
Can you feel any pain?

ADAM
No, I don’t think so.

EVAN
Let’s see if you can walk.

Evan helps Adam to stand up. Adam walks perfectly. The group
smiles.

ADAM is impressed that Evan cured his bullet wound.

ADAM
Let’s go. We have to get out of here.

TREVOR
Alright.

The group walks with Adam out of the forest.

CUT TO:

INT. ADAM’S CAR. DUSK.

ADAM is driving, Chloe and Evan are on the backseat and Trevor
is on the front seat.

They’re all in silence.

EVAN
So, what’s the plan now?

ADAM
What do you mean?
EVAN
What are we gonna do now? Where are we gonna go?

Adam thinks about his answer.

ADAM
How about this? We’ll go to a motel, let’s stay there till the
morning, we’ll clean the blood from our faces, and then we’ll
go home.

EVAN
Home, alright.

Evan thinks.

EVAN
And where’s home?

ADAM
(sighs)
Honestly, I’ve got no damn idea. But we’ll figure it out on
our way, alright?

Evan smiles.

EVAN
Sounds good.
(to chloe)
Right?

CHLOE
Yeah, that sounds perfect.

The group smiles.

ON SOUNDTRACK / ON THE RADIO: “WE’LL LET YOU KNOW”, MORRISSEY.

Evan and Chloe decide to take a nap on the backseat. Trevor


looks forward like Adam. Looking front and not daring to look
back.
