Summary:
A multidisciplinary team
is a group of health care
workers who are members
of different disciplines
(professions e.g.

services to the patient.
Teamwork is paramount
for the success of any
group. A multidisciplinary
team gives several
perspectives for a situation.
Different backgrounds of the
members help them to gain
several opinions that can
prove beneficial in problem-
solving. Trends and issues
in the health care system
affects the roles of the
psychiatric –mental health
nurse.

Conclusion:
This multi-disciplinary
team can also function as
an Inter-disciplinary team
in that the total care of the
patient requires not only
the total input of each
members of this team but
also the inter-disciplinary
coordinated effort
