THE RELATIONSHIP OF GRADE-POINT AVERAGE WITH

KNOWLEDGE ABOUT STUNTING AT STUDENT ASSOCIATE’S


DEGREE OF NURSING STUDY PROGRAM OF LEVEL II STIKES
MUHAMMADIYAH KLATEN

Abstract

Stunting (dwarf) is condition in which a toddler has length body or height that is
less when compared the age. The research purpose was for knew the relationship
among the GPA(Grade-Point Average) with Knowledge about stunting at student
associate’s degree of nursing study program Stikes Muhammadiyah Klaten.

This research was used non-experimental design with cross sectional approach.
The research population are all students associate’s degree of nursing study program
level II 4th semester Stikes Muhammadiyah Klaten. This study uses a correlation
method with cross sectional design. Total sample of 71 people with total sampling.
Data collection instruments was used questionnaire. Data analyze uses the Kendall
Tau test. the majority of respondents were female as many as 51 respondents (71.8%).
The mean GPA of respondents was 2.88 ± 0.285. Kendall Tau test results obstained
significant value of 0.045 (P <0.05), so that there is a significant relationship between
the GPA with knowledge about stunting at student associate’s degree of the nursing
study program of level II Stikes Muhammdiyah Klaten.
