The Isla Center for the Arts at the University of Guam will sponsor the 23rd Annual Art-A-Thon but it will be very different
this year. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the challenges we all face, we will not include the fundraising aspect of the
Art-A-Thon. Instead, the focus will be on promoting the arts with the students.
Students will be asked to create a work of art that reflects the theme “My Light during COVID”.
Students are encouraged to reflect and depict what has helped them or provided hope during this
difficult time.
Artwork due by Friday, February 12, 2021 or email (jpeg or pdf file) to ahespbis@gdoe.net
The works of art will be eligible for the Online Exhibition and the Top 3 artists will receive art supplies and certificates.
This year we invite you to play a role in the Art-a-thon by encouraging your child in his/her efforts. Please help your child
to consider a positive aspect of our current situation and depict it in a work of art. If you would like your child to
participate in this exciting and worthwhile event, please fill out the permission slip below and turn in with artwork.
