The level of Economic, political and social decision making authority, women’s representation is
very low. Fifty seven percent (57%) of Cambodia’s population is female. Although they work
hard from dawn to dusk, whether at home or outside of the house. But if one recalls Khmer
women’s heroism, we believe that the Khmer women are actually not inferior to foreign men
and women. Khmer women are gentler, flexible, decent and dignified and moreover, they are
brave and capable enough to engage in or participate in every activity both social and
household. This means that women are on important force, which cannot be ignored in
developing a society. So, the Kingdom of Cambodia is one nation among one hundred and
eighty one that support global vision of ensuring equality, Development and peace.
