Aircel is one of the providers of telecommunication services in India. Aircel has outsourced the
management of application development and maintenance services for its operations in India to Wipro.
I am part of the Solution group which designs the end to end flows of the system. I am working as a
Solution Architect for their Enterprise business. Enterprise business takes care of implementing ILL,
NPLC, IPLC, MPLS etc for their enterprise customers. Several COTS product like Siebel, Kenan, Oracle
OSM, UIM, IPSA, ASAP will be used for end to end flow for their Enterprise business.

Responsibilities
 Currently designing the End to End solution for order fulfillment process for Enterprise business.
 Also involved in designing integrations between Siebel CRM system and other applications like
Document Management systems
 Also involved in Designing the flows between Siebel CRM and Kenan Billing system.

Wimax Reference Implementation

Discovery & Integrity Product

Discovery product discovers the Network element from the live Network and returns the output in a
MTOSI format. Integrity product uses this MTOSI format and also reads the data from the Inventory
system and compares the Networks elements to find the discrepancies and later correct those
discrepancies. Telecom operators use these products to optimize the inventory.

Responsibilities
 My main responsibilities include Functional & Technical Design, Estimations and Mentoring of
the team members.
 Currently working on the solution design for the circuit reconciliation for the SDH Network.
 Worked on the Requirement gathering, Functional &Technical Design of the following major
enhancements on the products
Multiple Reconciliation Parallel Run - This enhancement provides important feature of
doing the multiple reconciliation at the same time for the integrity product.
Support for firewalls port- this enhancement provides the ability to Discovery product to
work through firewalls.
Support for Ipv6 - this enhancement provides support for Ipv6 Protocol.
Security Enhancements – We added some features in both the products for increasing the
security of the products.

Next Gen Discovery

This is a new product, which is under development. This product will discover the Network elements and
discrepancies with the inventory. It has extensible architecture such that the customers can create their
own cartridges to discover the network elements. It will also provide the features for fixing the
discrepancies and assimilation (enriching) of discovered data.

Responsibilities
 My main responsibilities include Technical Design, and Mentoring of the new team members.
 Worked on the Technical design of the following features
Discrepancy Counts- General framework for calculating the number of differences found
between inventory and network. This calculation is done at different levels of the Network
element hierarchy.
Address Handler framework- This framework takes care of the expansion and validation of the
address.
 Took initiative in adopting the new Quality process APM (Application Process Model). This
process helped in reducing the bugs found by QA Team and thus reducing the cost of the project.
 Coordinating with the Product Mangers for the preparation of the Functional Design.

AT&T Release 8 (Amdocs Clarify 13.1)

In this release some more features like chronic caller, segmentation indicators etc are being added. A
customer is labeled chronic if n numbers of cases are logged by that customer in last n days of particular
type. This involves customizations & implementation of CIM and Support applications of clarify.
Integration with Amdocs Telecom Billing System (Ensemble) was also done. Development of this Project
is spread along different development sites of Amdocs in Cyprus, India, US and Israel.

Responsibilities
 My main responsibilities were to transform Business requirements into Functional & Technical
design. Lead the team in Pune Development centre and was responsible planning and tracking the
different phases of the Module.
 Coordinating and interacting with different project stakeholders like Client, onsite business
consultants, testing and developments teams located in different geographical locations like
Israel, India, Cyprus and US.
 Worked on the Functional design for the chronic and segmentation indicators.
 As chronic indictors were to be calculated in real time as and when a case is created, the
performance requirement was very strict. These indicators were also supposed to be calculated in
nightly cron jobs. Designed this process using stored procedures instead of using Clarify Business
Objects (CBO) keeping in mind the complexity in calculating chronic indictor, performance and
reusability of code both in real-time and nightly cron jobs.
 Designed the Pl/sql procedures for migrating the production data into the testing environment.
Main Challenge of this task was to maintain the relations and the data integrity as Object id will
have to be changed while copying data from production Environment to Testing environment

Strategic Customer Management Phase B (Amdocs Clarify 13.1)

Clarify CRM 13.1 will be used to handle to inquires, complaints and creation of new customers. In Phase
B the main focus area will be postpaid line of business. This involves customizations & implementation
of CIM, Support and billing manager applications of clarify. Integration with Amdocs Telecom Billing
System (Ensemble) was also done. Development of this Project is spread along different development
sites of Amdocs in Cyprus, India and Israel.

Responsibilities
 My main responsibilities were to transform Business requirements into Functional & Technical
design. Lead the team in Cyprus Development centre and was responsible for Customer and
Contact Management Area, for the postpaid line of business.
 Worked on the high and detailed level design for the postpaid customer wizard. Wizard was
designed a such a manner that on completing on this Customer account, Financial account and
billing arrangement was created in CRM as well as corresponding entities were also created in
Billing system (Ensemble). This wizard greatly reduced the customer creation time for the CSR.
 Estimation and Impact Analysis of the Change Request like Marketing preferences, Blacklisting
and batch update of Customer.
 Coordinated and interacted with different project stakeholders like Client, Business Consultants,
and Testing and developments teams located in different geographical locations like Israel, India
and UK.
 Took a proactive approach in finding and resolving problems in integration with the Billing
Systems.

CRM Clarify 13.1


Client: UPC (Netherlands).

Through its UPC Broadband division, Liberty Global is active in 11 countries in Europe. In most of these
countries it is the largest cable operator in terms of subscribers. Here Clarify 13.1 will be used to handle
inquires, complaints and creation of new customers. One of the challenges of this project was to also
provide a translated version in different languages for its affiliates in other European countries. We were
integrating with Kenan billing system.

Responsibilities
 I lead the team in Cyprus Development and was responsible for customizing CIM and support
application according the UPC requirements.
 Worked on the Functional and Technical design for the customizations for CIM and support.
 Understanding the Business Requirement and transforming those to Technical Requirements.
 Worked for automation and enhancement of translation framework. This framework saved a lot
of effort and money for the project. Framework was developed to convert jsp as well as to
convert database tables like db_string and config items.
 Planning and tracking the different phases of the Module.

Clarify CRM 12.5


Client: T-Online Germany.

T-online is part of the Duetsche telecom group, which provides Internet services. This project was a
migration project from Clarify Thick client to the Clarify Thin client 12.5. Many business processes were
covered in this migration process like Technical Support, Invoice complaint, Customer Information, Age
verification System, Tariff & product etc. New functionalities were also added in this migration process. I
also visited Germany to finalise the interface agreement document with the client.

Responsibilities
 Was leading a team for Interfaces Development. This project involved lot of interface calls
(Webservice and EJB) to external system. We made a separate layer for calling the interfaces to
reduce the complexity of calling external system for other team members and converting the data
retrieved into business objects.
 Part of design team for developing a framework for calling the external System.
 Customized many of the business processes as required.
 Developing Simulators for Web Services.
