Assemble The Mounting
Lay the cardboard over the
front mounting, aligning the
centres.
Glue Together
Add paper glue to the
cardboard and fold in the
pasting flap to stick the two
pieces together.
The Mounting When Stuck

section by section until you
complete the circle.
Apply The Glue
Now glue around the edge
of the stuck-down pasting

Attach The Back Mounting
Stick on the back
mountinag, aligning the
position of the centre holes.
Apply Glue To The Paper
Cutout
Apply glue to the back of
the paper cutout. Dot the
glue on section by section
over the whole area.
Assemble The Clock
When the glue on the face has
dried, place the rubber seal
on the movement mechanism
and pass the shaft through
the hole in the face.
Attach The Metal Fixtures
Place the ring nut and then the
hexagonal nut onto the shaft
and secure the face tightly
with the hexagonal nut.

Finished!

Add The Needles
Add first the short hand,
then the long hand, and
then the second hand to the
mechanism.
Check For Bending
Look at the clock hands
from the direct horizontal to
check that they’re parallel,
and make any adjustments.
Place the clock upright on
the wall and you’re done.
An Arrangement
Using a strong Japanese
paper 15 monme (approx.
56 gsm) thick for the paper
cutout will allow you to
put the clock up without a
mounting.
