3 Characteristics of a Leader

1) With humility or Humble

A leader who has humility fosters his subordinates to grow and learn more. He does not
think highly of himself and does not boss around. He is willing to teach and guide his
subordinates and listen to their thoughts, which boosts team morale and job satisfaction. A
humble leader can easily connect to their employees since he is approachable. His humility will
make his subordinates transparent, and thus he will be aware of their concerns and needs since
they do not see him as out of touch.
Humility is an essential quality of a leader because of the above-stated benefits. For
instance, a professor asked to have groupings in a class. Each student has different intelligence
and skills; there are slow-witted, and there are fast learners. A leader with humility will not
belittle those who lack, but instead, he will guide them on what they should do with much
patience. If a leader treated those who lack harshly, there might be a gap and disconnection
within the group. It may lead to a poor outcome considering there is no teamwork, and only a
few can only participate. An arrogant leader might scare the members of the group to be open,
making them submissive in his mediocre decisions.

2) Committed

3) Innovative

Innovative leaders are creative, they do not settle for average or unexceptional ideas.
They always think of a way to outdo the works of others or make the existing ideas better. Such
leader does not have to be the genius behind an extraordinary idea. He can become one by
supporting his subordinates form or turn their ideas into reality. To gain support from his
members and subordinates, he should have excellent communication skills to convince them
how great his or other member’s ideas.
