Хвостиковые вопросы

 если предложение отрицательное (-), то хвостик с "+":

They don’t (-) like school, do (+) they?
 если утвердительное (+), то хвостик с "-":
She plays (+) the piano, doesn't (-) she?

В окончании будет вспомогательный глагол (do, does, did, is, was и тд.) и личное
местоимение (they, she, he и тд.).
*** Местоимение соответствует подлежащему из первой части вопроса (!!! подлежащее не
обязательно выражается местоимением): I think he is Russian, isn’t she he?

!!! В хвостиках отрицательные формы только в сокращённом виде

I am late, aren't I?

Let`s - это сокращённая форма Let us; us производная от we. Следовательно:

Let's go to the cinema, shall we? (нужно обратить внимание, что здесь хвостик не
отрицательный!)

Если в первой части вопроса присутствуют такие слова как:

No scarcely

Neither barely

no one hardly

nobody hardly ever

nothing seldom 

то, так они несут в себе отрицательный компонент, хвостик будет положительным:

No money is left, is it?

   Nothing has changed, has it?
He hardly ever reads books, does he?
Your wife seldom swears, does she?

Слова anyone, anybody, nobody, no one, neither будут заменяться личным местоимением they!

   e.g. I don't think anyone will object, will they?

   Neither of our friends complained,  did they?
