Star ornament:
Approx. 10.5 cm in diameter.
Angel wings ornament:
Approx. 9.5 x 7.5 cm.
MATERIALS
Schachenmayr Catania,
50 g in 00192 Red for star ornament, Work rnds 2 and 3 of chart, then fasten off.
50 g in 00105 Natural for angel wings Angel wings ornament: Work left and right
ornament.
NEEDLES & TOOLS
Size 3 mm crochet hook.
Tapestry needle.
Sewing thread and sewing needle.
For each star ornament:
Red and White checkered band, 18 cm long
x 10 mm wide [by Rayher, item 5190718]
and 1 button in Cream, 15 mm in diameter
[by Union Knopf, item 38654].
For each angel wings ornament:
Red and White checkered band, 18 cm long
x 5 mm wide [by Rayher, item 5130818];
white satin band, 18 cm long x 3 mm wide
[by Rayher, item 5521202] and 1 button in
Red, 15 mm in diameter [by Union Knopf,
item 26600].
Work star ornament in rnds according to
chart; work angel wings ornament back
and forth in rows according to chart.
INSTRUCTIONS
Star ornament: Make an adjustable ring.
Rnd 1: Ch 3 (count as 1 dc), 23 dc into ring.
wing according to chart. For each wing, ch
26 and work rows 1 – 5 of chart. On rows 2
– 5, work under back loop only. Fasten off.
FINISHING
Carefully weave in all ends.
Star ornament: Pin ornament and block. If
desired, spray lightly with spray starch be-
fore blocking. Fold band in half and sew
ends tog with a few sts. Place band be-

Angel wings ornament: With right sides
facing up and overlock sts, join wings over
8 sts between points a and b on chart. Pin
ornament and block. If desired, spray lightly
with spray starch before blocking. Place the
satin band on top of the checkered band
and sew the ends tog with a few sts. Fold
band in half, place band between wings at
center top, place button on top of band,
then sew band and button to wings.
