LECTURE NOTES

Quarter 2, Week 1
English 3

Events without order are meaningless.

In life, things follow a correct order. Order makes the world a better
place.

Sequencing is arranging events or items in the correct order. Proper

sequencing is important in giving narrations, instructions, or procedures.
A correct order of events aids in comprehension.

Your ability to sequence events will help you better understand the
message of a story.

Transition words are signal words like first, next, then, lastly,
before, after and finally are used to indicate the correct order of events
or steps.
See how the following transition or signal words are used in the
sentences.
