Muslims believe that the 

Quran was verbally revealed from God to Muhammad through the

angel Gabriel gradually over a period of approximately 23 years, beginning on 22 December
609 CE, when Muhammad was 40, and concluding in 632 CE, the year of his death.

Razia Sultana
Razia Sultana was the first woman Sultanate of India, and ruled the court of Delhi from
the end of 1236 to 1240. The only ever woman to do so, she defied all odds to occupy
the throne, including overcoming conflicts over her gender and her slave ancestry.
