3. Masbate Fault.
The Masbate fault is a transition zone characterized by
large and medium earthquakes accompanied by
unusually large ground rupture with post-seismic
deformation and possibly slow-slip components.
Recurrence intervals along this zone range from 5 to 10
years.
4. Digdig Fault
The event was a result of strike-slip movements along the Philippine Fault
and the Digdig Fault within the Philippine Fault System. The earthquake's
epicenter was near the town of Rizal, Nueva Ecija, northeast
of Cabanatuan City.
