Ambalatungan (Mount Binuluan)
Apo (Davao)
Ambalatungan has reportedly erupted
in 1952 and 1986 or 1987 but they are
unverified. Nevertheless, it is
recognized as an active volcano due to
its hot springs and fumarole fields (an
area surrounding a volcano with
openings that emit steam and gas).
Mt. Makiling (Laguna &
Batangas)
Mount Makiling is a dormant volcano
situated within the territories of Laguna
and Batangas provinces, Calabarzon
region. Makiling has an elevation of
3,580 feet (1,090 meters) and belongs
to the Laguna Volcanic Field.

With an elevation of 9,639 feet (2938
m), Mt. Apo is the tallest volcano in
the Philippines. This stratovolcano is
tucked within the 64,000-hectare Mount
Apo National Park, which is an ASEAN
Heritage SiteTrek. This national park is
located in Davao Province, Central
Mindanao. Though Mt. Apo has no
known eruption, it is considered an
active volcano.
Mt. Matutum (South
Cotabato)
Mt. Matutum is an active stratovolcano
with an elevation of 7500-feet (2286
meters) above sea level. Located in
South Cotabato, Southern Mindanao,
Matutum is about 5.7 kilometers from
the town of Tupi and 30 kilometers
from General Santos City. Matutum’s
surroundings and foothills are the
original home of the Blaan indigenous
group.

as Catarman Volcano) is an active
volcano on Camiguin Island. It rises
about 4370 feet or 1332 meters above
sea level.

Balatocan) is a massive compound
stratovolcano on the SW shore of Gingoog
Bay, 15 km SW of Gingoog city in north- Mount Amorong a potentially active lava dome,
part of the Amorong Volcanic Group, is located
central Mindanao, opposite Camiguin
at the northern end of the Luzon Central Plain,
Island, Philippines. in Umingan, Pangasinan, Region I, on the
island of Luzon, in the Philippines.
Mount Iraya
is the northernmost active volcano
in the Philippines and the highest
point in Batanes. To the Ivatan
people, Mount Iraya is sacred.

Mount Malinao
is a potentially active stratovolcano located in
the Bicol Region of the Philippines. The
volcano displays strong fumarolic activity which
is harnessed for generating electricity. Located
on its slope is Tiwi Geothermal Power Plant,
one of the first geothermal energy plant
commissioned in the country.
Mount Isarog
is an active stratovolcano located in the
province of Camarines Sur, Philippines, on the
island of Luzon. The mountain has active
fumaroles and hot springs.
Mount Biliran
is a solfataric active complex volcano
located in the island province of Biliran
in the Philippines. The volcano caused
the formation of the island.
Didicas Volcano
is an active volcanic island in the
province of Cagayan in northern
Philippines. The island, which was a
submarine volcano and re-emerged
from the sea in 1952, is 22 kilometres
NE of Camiguin Island, one of the
Babuyan Islands in Luzon Strait.
Mount Ragang,
also called Mount Piapayungan and
Blue Mountain by the local people, is an
active stratovolcano on Mindanao island
in the Philippines. With an elevation of
2,815 metres, it is the seventh highest
mountain in the Philippines and the
highest point in Lanao del Sur.
Mount Malindig
is a large potentially active stratovolcano
on the island of Marinduque in the
Philippines. It is the highest peak in the
island having an elevation of 1,157
metres above sea level. The name
Marinduque itself may have been
derived from Marindik or Malindik.
Mt. Pinatubo (Zambales)
Mt. Pinatubo is included in the list of
active volcanoes in the Philippines. It
rises at about 4,800 feet (1,460 meters )
high and is located within the
boundaries of Central Luzon provinces
- Zambales, Tarlac, Pampanga. The

gateways to Pinatubo.

the fourth largest island in the country
and is home to Negros Oriental and
Negros Occidental Provinces.
