ALL ABOUT FRENCH LITERATURE

French literature, one of the world's most brilliant, has been for
centuries an impressive facet of French civilization, an object of
national pride, and a principal focus for feelings of national
identity. Because the French are a literate people, passionately
interested in questions of language and in the exploration of
ideas, the influence of French intellectuals on the course of
French history during the last three centuries has been great,
and remains so today.
A high proportion of European literary trends have originated in
France. The continuing prestige of literature in France is evidenced today by the innumerable
private societies devoted to individual authors and by the large number of literary prizes awarded
each year. A knowledge of French literature, in short, is the key to an understanding of the
French people.

What is this story about? It's fairly straightforward, and Guy de Maupassant is famous for having
a surprise ending, or twist ending, and that's what we get here. We have a husband and wife in
the story, the wife who cares very much about pretty things and beautiful balls, manages to go to
one, borrow a necklace, lose it, and then spend ten years of hard with his husband, hard life
paying back the cost of the lost necklace, replacing it first, and then paying back the purchase
price. Now she is to be pitied in several ways, because first of all, she puts a lot of value in things
that don't matter that much. She has a decent life at the beginning of the story. One of her flaws
is she doesn't appreciate what she has, and instead she just wishes she could be rich, and she
wishes she could have beautiful things.
She just wishes circumstances would change. In my experienced, I always value these elegances
and didn’t appreciate what I have, I even didn’t think my parents about their
work and sacrifices because of greediness. How I wish I can help them the
way they help me. And that, I think, is a deeper message for all of us, that
instead of waiting for outer circumstances to change, we need to change
internally. Guy de Maupassant shows us a woman who could have learned
from life's lessons.
II. ALL ABOUT ITALIAN LITERATURE

Italian literature represents the rich culture of the

country and depicts the future heroic legends that
lived in the country for ages. The literary language of Italy was
Latin before the 13th century. The chronicles, the historical poems
and the religious poems written in that era were all in Latin. The Sicilian was the
earliest poetry ever written in Italian.

The other notable feature of the Italian literature is the epic poem of the Dante The
Divine Comedy. The Divine comedy is a dramatization of the medieval theology
and philosophy and is a guided tour through the three worlds known as the
paradise, hell and purgatory. This was some basic information about the literature
in Italy.

The first part of the poem called Inferno, Dante’s depiction of hell in his Inferno is
arguably what makes Inferno the most famous of his Divine Comedy trilogy.
Along with the other two parts of the trilogy, Inferno tells part of the story of the
Christian mythos. It continues to draw readers because of the sensationalist nature
of the poem. However, despite being about Hell, Dante’s Inferno is not only an
allegorical poem about Hell, but also a reflection of the societal ills and unrest in
Florence during Dante’s time.
In his inferno, Dante Alighieri gives us a wide view into what
it would be like to hell. I have a lot of experiences on this,
especially for the betrayal and gluttony. I often betrayed my
parents and my friends. I always do it like again and again, I
fear of committing sins especially they’re my special ones. I
realized that whenever you are a good person, you tend to
commit one, afraid to tell the truth but everyone will know.
