Supervisor’s research interests:
 Structured light beams (scalar and vector optical vortices,
Bessel, Airy and similar beams), their generation, propagation
and analysis
 Holographic tools in adaptive optics
 Advanced wavefront sensors
 Advanced sensors of rotation (gyroscopes) on the base of
passive ring cavities (integral optics, confocal cavities and
resonators of whispering gallery modes)

 Metasurfaces in angle and position sensing

Research highlights:
Experimental investigations will be carried out in the up-to-date
optical laboratory, equipped by modern equipment (vibroisolated
tables, modern optical and opto-mechanical components, laser
sources etc.). Specific equipment includes several advanced
wavefront sensors, optical modulators, liquid crystal elements,
flexible mirrors, computers with specialized software, various
optical elements for structured light production, metasurfaces etc.).
Research supervisor: We have the extended cooperation with several foreign teams,
Vladimir Yu.Venediktov, including in particular, the teams in Germany, in China, in South
Ph.D: Vavilov State Optical Africa etc. as well as with several leading Universities and
Institute, 2003, St.-Petersburg laboratories in St.-Petersburg, Moscow, Siberia etc.
Supervisor’s specific requirements:
Doctor of Science: Faculty of Skills in optics, optical experiment and optical engineering.
Physics, St.-Petersburg State Deep knowledge of undergraduate courses, such as:
