Company Summary
The buying and selling of products and services by business and consumers through an
electronic medium, without using any paper documents. E-commerce is widely considered
the buying and selling of the product over internet, but any transaction that is completed
solely through electronic measures can be considered e-commerce.

E-commerce activity is more recent, and usually requires a business to play the middleman
companies like Bikroy.com. The way it works is companies that have products to sell list
them through a third-party site. Consumers looking to purchase product visit the site and
search the available products. The consumer purchases the product and the seller is
responsible for delivering the product. The business that plays the middleman usually
requires a transaction foe from either the seller or buyer.

Components of Computer Network for Bikroy
A computer network is a set of computers connected for the purpose of sharing resources.
The most common resource shared today is connection to the Internet. Other shared resources
can include a printer or a file server. The Internet itself can be considered a computer
network.

A computer network is a digital telecommunications network which allows nodes to share

resources. In computer networks, computing devices exchange data with each other using
connections (data links) between nodes. These data links are established over cable media
such as wires or optic cables, or wireless media such as Wi-Fi.

Desktop Computer & Laptop

A computer is a device that can be instructed to carry out sequences of arithmetic or logical
operations automatically via computer programming. Modern computers have the ability to
follow generalized sets of operations, called programs. These programs enable computers to
perform an extremely wide range of tasks. A "complete" computer including the hardware,
the operating system (main software), and peripheral equipment required and used for "full"
operation can be referred to as a computer system.

A PC phone, called a scratch pad PC by makers, is a battery-or AC-fueled PC for the most
part littler than a portfolio that can without much of a stretch be transported and
advantageously utilized in impermanent spaces, for example, on planes, in libraries, brief
workplaces, and at gatherings. A workstation normally weighs under 5 pounds and is 3 inches
or less in thickness. Among the best-known producers of PCs IBM, Apple, Compaq, Dell,
and Toshiba.

Smart phones cost more than PCs with similar abilities since they are progressively hard to
plan and make. A PC can viably be transformed into a personal computer with a docking
station, an equipment outlines that provisions associations for fringe input/yield gadgets, for
example, a printer.

Network Technology for Bikroy

From a basic standpoint, network technology is any technology by which two or more
computer systems are connect to communicate information between them. This can be as
simple as a dial-up modem connection between two PCs, or as complex as the Internet itself.
Whether it is a wired local area connection at work, a home Wi-Fi connection, an undersea
cable connecting devices beneath the ocean, or satellite signals all around the globe, all of
these are network technology.

From a more human standpoint, though, network technology is any technology by which
people communicate with one another, and reach out to each other. Our computer networks
only exist because of our human need to network with one another. Humanity is at the heart
of all of our communication. Never forget that.

Router
A wireless router is a device that performs the functions of a router and includes the functions
of a wireless access point. It is use to provide access to the Internet or a private computer
network. Depending on the manufacturer and model, it can function in a wired local area
network, in a wireless-only LAN, or in a mixed wired and wireless network.

Which Brand is better Dell?

Dell

Dell is an American based multinational organization that deals in the manufacturing and
distribution of technological equipment. When it comes to producing laptops, Dell has been
superb.

Their portable computing products are suitable for anyone familiar with the Microsoft
Windows platform. Dell also produces laptops in a wide variety of price points because of
their broad clientele network.

Physical Server:

In computing, a server is a computer

program or a device that provides
functions for other programs or
devices. Servers can provide various
functionalities, often called
"services", such as sharing data or
resources among multiple clients, or
performing computation for a client.
Physical servers are different
computer units or clusters, which are
equipped with their very own hardware and external devices. These types of server in the
computer network provide a mainframe for communicating, storing data and processing large
amount of information.

23 | P a g e
Let’s get one thing clear first. If you take two dedicated servers of identical capabilities,
virtualize one of them, and run the same application in both servers, the dedicated server will
always show better performance. Why? Because virtualization always inflicts a performance
penalty. That being said, the difference in performance is noticeable only in applications that
run thousands of transactions per minute (like busy ecommerce sites for example). So, if
performance improvement is your sole concern for a server upgrade, go ahead and choose a
physical server. But, before you make that move, know this – Most servers run at a snail’s
pace because they’re not optimized. We’ve helped many customers avoid needless
investment by tweaking their services, and implementing efficient resource usage.

A single server can serve multiple clients, and a single client can use multiple servers. A
client process may run on the same device or may connect over a network to a server on a
different Typical servers are database servers, file servers, mail servers, print servers, web
servers, game servers, and application servers. A Physical server is just as the name says, a
server (physical computer) on which an Operating System, like Windows or Linux runs just
as on any other computer. The physical servers are in almost all aspects like desktop
computers, with many improvements that desktop PCs lack featuring things like redundant
power supplies, raid controllers, multiple network cards etc. The physical servers are larger in
size with much more powerful components in general. They all require a separate space in the
server rack. Most of the servers also have two or more physical CPUs with multiple cores
each.

A physical server is a type of computer or device on a network that manages network

resources. Servers are often dedicated, meaning that they perform no other tasks besides their
server tasks. On multiprocessing operating systems, however, a single computer can execute
several programs at once. A server in this case could refer to the program that is managing
resources rather than the entire computer.

Many people mistakenly believe that a server is a typical desktop computer, but simply
running a server operating system on a desktop computer isn't a replacement for real server
hardware. For the average home user looking for a basic, infrequently used server, one built
from a desktop computer could work but most businesses will find that a ready-made,
dedicated server is a better choice. A server is engineered to manage, store, send and process
data 24-hours a day it has to be more reliable than a desktop computer and offers a variety of
features and hardware not typically used in the average desktop computer.
24 | P a g e
Different Types of Physical Servers:
Different types of servers perform different jobs, from serving email and video to protecting
internal networks and hosting websites. There are many different types of servers, for
example:

 File server: a computer and storage device dedicated to storing files. Any user on the
network can store files on the server.
 Print server: a computer that manages one or more printers, and a network server is a
computer that manages network traffic.
 Database server: a computer system that processes database queries.

Cloud Server:

A cloud server is a hosted, and typically virtual,

compute server that is accessed by users over a
network. Cloud servers are intended to provide the
same functions, support the same operating systems
(OSes) and applications, and offer performance
characteristics similar to traditional physical servers
that run in a local data center. Cloud servers are often
referred to as virtual servers, virtual private servers or
virtual platforms.

Operating systems (OSes) and applications, and offer

performance characteristics similar to traditional physical servers that run in a local data
center. Cloud servers are often referred to as virtual servers, virtual private servers or virtual
platforms.

Cloud server types and features

An enterprise can choose from several types of cloud servers. Three primary models include:

25 | P a g e
 Public cloud servers: The most common expression of a cloud server is a virtual
machine (VM) -- or compute "instance" -- that a public cloud provider hosts on its
own infrastructure, and delivers to users across the internet using a web-based
interface or console. This model is broadly known as infrastructure as a service
(IaaS). Common examples of cloud servers include Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud
instances, Azure instances and Google Compute Engine instances.

 Private cloud servers: A cloud server may also be a compute instance within an on-
premises private cloud. In this case, an enterprise delivers the cloud server to internal
users across a local area network, and, in some cases, also to external users across the
internet. The primary difference between a hosted public cloud server and a private
cloud server is that the latter exists within an organization's own infrastructure, where
a public cloud server is owned and operated outside of the organization.

 Dedicated cloud servers: In addition to virtual cloud servers, cloud providers can also
supply physical cloud servers, also known as bare-metal servers, which essentially
dedicate a cloud provider's physical server to a user. These dedicated cloud servers –
also called dedicated instances -- are typically used when an organization must deploy
a custom virtualization layer, or mitigate the performance and security concerns that
often accompany a multi-tenant cloud server.

Cloud servers are available in a wide array of compute options, with varying amounts of
processors and memory resources. This enables a user to select an instance type that best fits
the needs of a specific workload. For example, a smaller Amazon EC2 instance might offer
one virtual CPU and 2 GB of memory, while a larger Amazon EC2 instance provides 96
virtual CPUs and 384 GB of memory.

Cloud servers are essentially virtual servers provided as a service from a solution provider on
an hourly, daily, weekly, monthly or other on-demand basis. The charges or fees will vary
depending on usage, processing capabilities, memory demands, and data storage capacity and
protection level. For some IT environments, cloud servers can help avoid the cost and

26 | P a g e
overhead of buying and maintaining physical servers and associated software. While you can
run hypervisors on your physical servers and create your own virtual servers, and even a
private cloud, shifting ownership to a cloud provider may reduce costs even further by
driving up the utilization of a shared server.

Examples of Cloud Servers:

 Amazon EC2 — Virtual IT.
 Google App Engine — Application hosting.
 Google Apps and Microsoft Office Online — SaaS.
 Apple I Cloud — Network storage.
 Digital Ocean — Servers (IA as/PaaS)

Network Operating System

Network operating system, NOS is the software that allows multiple computers to
communicate, share files and hardware devices with one another.
It is a computer operating system that is designed primarily to support workstation, personal
computer, and, in some instances, older terminal that are connected on a local area network
(LAN). Artisoft's LANtastic, Banyan VINES, Novell's NetWare, and Microsoft's LAN
Manager are examples of network operating systems. In addition, some multi-purpose
operating systems, such as Windows NT and Digital's OpenVMS come with capabilities that
enable them to be described as a network operating system.

27 | P a g e
FIG: Network Operating System

The main functions of operating system

 Monitors the system and security, so as to provide proper security against viruses,

hackers, and data corruption.

 Provides routing services, including support for major networking protocols, so that

the operating system knows what data to send where.

 Passing of control from one job (program) to another under a system priority when

more than one application program occupies the main storage.

 Memory allocation and loading of programs.

28 | P a g e
 Furnishing a complete record of all that happens during processing.

 Reporting of errors which occur during execution in the network.

 Controlling the input and output devices as well as server/ client machines in the

network.

 Scheduling and loading of programs or subprograms in order to provide a continuous

sequence of processing.

 Providing quick means of communication between the computer operators and each

program.

 Protecting the use of hardware, software and data from misuse.

How Network Operating System (NOS) works?

A system working framework, or NOS, is one that is enhanced to give arranged

administration. The advancement of system working frameworks has driven the
improvement of PC systems, and the other way around. Both are personally related.

29 | P a g e
Every NOS must give working framework backing to equipment, run conventions and
benefits, and give those applications to customer frameworks. Past these fundamental
administrations, a NOS may offer organization and the executives utilities, naming
and index administrations, document and print administrations, Web administrations,
reinforcement, security, and system steering, just as fill in as the working framework
whereupon arrange applications can be introduced and run.

A NOS that has an expansive scope of abilities is normally alluded to as a stage.

Instances of stages are UNIX, Linux, and Microsoft Windows. Some NOSs are
advanced for exceptional purposes; a case of this sort of NOS is Cisco's IOS working
framework that keeps running on its switches and switches.

Asiatic Digital is Bangladesh follow mostly windows server operating system of

network to provide the best and fast service to its customer.

We have studied and compared two network operating software’s Linux and
Microsoft and decided to utilize Microsoft Windows as our system working
framework in view of quick and easy to understand.

Why choose Windows

The preferred standpoint over working frameworks, for example, Windows is that security
blemishes are gotten before they turn into an issue for people in general. Since Linux does
not overwhelm the market like Windows, there are a few weaknesses to utilizing the working

30 | P a g e
framework. To start with, it's progressively hard to discover applications according to our
requirements.
One fundamental issue with Linux is drivers. Before you can introduce any equipment part in
our PC, we should ensure the equipment has drivers accessible. Equipment makers ordinarily
compose drivers for Windows, however not all brands compose drivers for Linux. This
implies a portion of our equipment probably won't be good with Linux on the off chance that
we choose windows.
Support for open-source can also be an issue. While there are plenty of
Windows support people, Linux is not supported out-of-the-box
