Simple Past Tense


Simple past tense is used to talk about things that happened, existed, or finished before now. 
Form “Be”
  affirmative negative Question
I I was I was not Was I?
he/she/it He was He was not Was he?
you/we/they You were You were not. Were you?

Form “Verb”
  affirmative Negative Question
I/you/we/they I found. I didn’t find. Did I find?
he/she/it He found. He didn’t find. Did he find?

Example:
1. (+) Guglielmo Marconi developed the first machine for long distance radio communication
(-) Guglielmo Marconi didn’t develop the first machine for long distance radio
Communication
(?) Did Guglielmo Marconi develop the first machine for long distance radio communication?

2. (+) Terminator T-800 was one of robots in the early 90s


(-) Terminator T-800 was not one of robots in the early 90s
(?) Was Terminator T-800 one of robots in the early 90s?
