Scenario

Your manager has decided to expand her business activities in the area and has
asked you to investigate two different types of businesses. You need to investigate Written Report
how different businesses are organised and how they are structured differently to
meet their aims and objectives.

Task 1
1. Analyse the key objectives of three business organisations (1.1)
2 .Discuss how each business organisation may achieve their objectives (1.2)

Task 2

After receiving your first feedback, your manager has now asked you to produce a report
that looks at the different ways that businesses are organised. For this, you have decided to
compare and contrast two contrasting organisations based on their ownership structures
(2.1)
 sole traders
 Partnerships
 limited companies
 company limited by guarantee
 community interest company (CIC)

Task 3

For this task your manager has asked you to do a presentation on the key features of a
franchise to some of your team members (2.2)
Presentation

Guidance Notes:

You are required to produce a written report considering the guidance and relevant assessment criteria
below. This should be written in a concise, formal business style using single spacing and font size 12 (in
Time New Romans). You are required to make use of headings, paragraphs and subsections as
appropriate, and all work must be supported with research and reference using the Harvard referencing
system.

Assessment
To achieve a Pass grade the submission must meet all the Assessment Criteria below.
If all the Assessment Criteria are met, your submission will be assessed for higher grades against the identified Grade Descriptor
components.

If all the Assessment Criteria are not met then you will be offered a resubmission within a short deadline set by your tutor.
If your second submission, within the designated short period meets the Assessment Criteria it becomes eligible for assessment
for the higher grades.
