Artist Reflection

Pinch Pot - I have created this pot by using texture, movement, and a sphere clay
shape. This piece of art I made is not really based off anything, but more of my
creativity. I was able create the sphere shape by making two half spheres and
pinching them together. I really like this piece because I implemented a visual
movement with texture.

Coil Pot – I have created this pot by using texture and pattern. This piece that I
made was constructed by coils of clay. I was inspired by a clay plate that was made
with one large coil rolled into a circle, forming the plate. I used small rolled up
coils and placed them all around the outside of the pot giving it more texture. I
really like this piece because of the interesting design the coils make when all
rolled up.

Slab Sculpture - I have created this project by using individual slabs of clay to
form 2 square shapes connected to each other. I was inspired by a building with a
large square on the bottom and a smaller square on the top. I made the slabs by
rolling out clay in between two wooden rods so all sides of the clay were equal in
width. I like this piece a lot because it reminds me of interesting architecture.

Tri-pod Mug – I created this mug by using texture and balance. This mug that I
made is standing on three legs given the name, “Tri- Pod Mug”. I had to roll out a
slab of clay and form it into a “cup” shape and pinching the bottom to give it three
legs to stand on. I used a texture template to put on the mug to give it a better look
as well. I like this piece because it's something I can use every day.
