Article 4: Right of individuals to be dealt with in accordance with law, etc

1. To enjoy the protection of law and to be treated in accordance with law is the
inalienable right of every citizen, wherever he may be, and of every other person
for the time being within Pakistan.

2. In particular-

a. no action detrimental to the life, liberty, body, reputation or property of any


person shall be taken except in accordance with law

b. no person shall be prevented from or be hindered in doing that which is not


prohibited by law; and

c. no person shall be compelled to do that which the law does not require him
to do

Article 25: Equality of citizens

1. All citizens are equal before law and are entitled to equal protection of law.

2. There shall be no discrimination on the basis of sex.

3. Nothing in this Article shall prevent the State from making any special provision
for the protection of women and children.
Article 7 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) states that "All are equal
before the law and are entitled without any discrimination to equal protection of the law.

Article 25A: Right to education

The State shall provide free and compulsory education to all children of the age of
five to sixteen years in such manner as may be determined by law.

Article 26 UDHR:
(1) Everyone has the right to education. Education shall be free, at least in the elementary and
fundamental stages. Elementary education shall be compulsory. Technical and professional
education shall be made generally available and higher education shall be equally accessible to
all on the basis of merit.

(2) Education shall be directed to the full development of the human personality and to the
strengthening of respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms. It shall promote
understanding, tolerance and friendship among all nations, racial or religious groups, and shall
further the activities of the United Nations for the maintenance of peace.

(3) Parents have a prior right to choose the kind of education that shall be given to their children.

Article 7.
 
All are equal before the law and are entitled without any discrimination to equal
protection of the law. All are entitled to equal protection against any discrimination
in violation of this Declaration and against any incitement to such discrimination.
