moderate sedation:

Anxiety relief with minimal drowsiness. Patient responds normally

to tactile stimulation and verbal command. Although cognitive
function and coordination may be modestly impaired, ventilatory
and cardiovascular function are unaffected.

Drowsiness, but patient responds purposefully to verbal

command, either alone or accompanied by light tactile stimulation.
Spontaneous ventilation is adequate and cardiovascular function is
rarely compromised.
