This is probably the bes refer ence for building a Merkava ID. There were two main areas of detal tha I decided to improve The fist was the stowage. Meng Models does provide complete stowage bins, but they are empty. To ‘the missing details, T chose to use the Blast Models Merkava 3D Update set (BL35186K). The second issue was the ant lip coating thats promt nent on many modem armored vehicles. Model manufacturers often overlook this and that is the case here, For the anti, I decided to use the old Casta-Coat method. Nurso, sprue cutters please "There are two diferent types of road wheel for this vehicle all steel and rubber rimmed. The ‘Stowage bins provide in the kt are empty, suse the resin ones provided in the Blast update set. The Blast parts needed extensive rimming to fit but Took better than the kit parts. I did notice a small discrepancy. The corrugated grating on the basket seams to be reversed on the bins. The angled por tion is facing Inboard instead of outboard. This would have been possible to fix by simply switching the position ofthe bins but the collapsible stretcher ‘bag is molded onto the let bin where it belongs.
