1. We use an active verb to say what the subject does.


2. We use a passive verb to say what happens to the subject.
3. When we use the passive, who or what causes the action is often unknown or unimportant.
4. If we want to say who does or what causes the action, we use by in passive voice.

Activity 16

The traditional instrument above is called angklung. Angklung is a traditional instrument from
West Java. It is made of bamboo. It has a lot of functions. One of the function is that it is one of the
instrument that is played in an orchestra or traditional ceremony.
