The most confusing point that I still cannot understand today in the lesson is about the

continental drift theory. Yes, the pieces of evidence of what Alfred Wegener presented were
convincing, but what confuses me is that what force was driving the motion of the continents?
Because I think how it would be possible for huge landmasses to move considering the amount
of force and energy required to do so? This thought made me overthink today, and until now, it
confuses me about the whole idea of the continental drift theory.
However, after how many articles I read about this theory, the answer to my question
was gravity itself. However, is gravity the only factor of why huge landmasses move away from
each other? I hope in the future geologic experts can fully uncover this mystery or clear out my
nagging question in my mind.
