Dear Sir,

I have gone through the manuscript entitled “Pion –nucleus scattering to investigate different nuclear
properties” .The paper analyzes the angular absorption data for the elastic scattering of Pions from
different nuclei at hundred eighty Mev in terms of cut-off angular momentum ,T ,rounding parameter Ϫ
and real nuclear phase shift µ using strong absorption model(SAM).

The authors have briefly reviewed the other alternative models like distorted wave born approximation
and the strong absorption model with their limitations and calculated that the analysis of SAM
parameters can account for the nuclear properties like interaction radius R, diffuseness and standard
nuclear radius r of 48Ti, 52Cr, 54Fe and 56Fe.

The manuscript is well written and the results are well presented. Slight corrections are marked in the
body of the manuscript.

The paper has a scientific merit to be recommended for publication.
