Creating a by using Shapes, Text boxes,

and Word Art.

You need to create a design for a flag that represents you! Have fun and be
creative with this assignment!

1. Open a new google doc and rename it:

a. Go to your Google Drive
b. Click the “ “ button
c. Select “Google Docs”

d. Click on “Untitled document” in the upper-left

corner

e. Rename your document “Creating a Flag”

2. Format the page as landscape:

a. Change the page layout to Landscape: Click “File” Tab Click “Page Setup”Click
on “Landscape”  Click “Ok”

3. You need to have at least 1 WordArt on your flag:

a. Click on the “Insert” Tab Choose “Drawing” In the Drawing Window will open up
and you need to click “Actions”  Click “Word Art”

4. There needs to be Text somewhere on your flag. This text must go well with your flag.
a. This text needs to be colored.
 5. Draw lines, circles, or whatever you want on your flag by using the shape buttons:
a. Click on the “Insert” Tab Choose “Drawing” In the Drawing Window will open up
and you need to click “Actions”  Click on the “Shapes” Button

b. You are required to have at least 2 different shapes on your flag.

6. Finally you need to Color in your Flag on your Google Doc by changing on the page color:
a. Click “File” Tab Click “Page Setup”Click on “Page Color” Select the
color you would like Click “OK”

7. Make sure to be creative and that the flag is organized. This flag must represent you.
