GERUND
GERUND is “ Verb ing” of which function is as “ Noun “. The position of gerund is as :
1. SUBJECT
a. Speaking is better than thinking.
b. Walking all day yesterday made my body very tired.

2. OBJECT
a. Father has stopped smoking since two years ago.
b. The thief denied stealing the jewelry although the police forced him to admit it.

3. PREDICATE COMPLEMENT ( pelengkap predikat )


a. Their best choice is staying in the village instead of going out side.
b. His favorite interest is travelling around the world.

4. GERUND AS A NOUN MODIFIER ( penjelas kata benda )


a. My old grandfather always walks with a walking stick.
b. The teachers gathered in the meeting room to discuss the school program.

5. GERUND after a preposition
