Good day! I’m Sheila Mae T. Basto, aspiring to apply as an English High School teacher

in your prestigious school. The desire of working in your institution is a huge chance for me to

showcase my prowess in various skills and in-depth wit in the pedagogical field.

I am 19 years old student-teacher and a resident at Sobol, San Fabian, Pangasinan. A

consistent honor student since elementary and secondary level. I graduated with flying colors

being the class valedictorian in my pre-school years, an honor student during my elementary

years, and second honourable mention when I was in high school. Now, I am a third year college

student in Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University, South La Union Campus taking up

Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in English. I can say that I am doing good in class for

receiving high grades from my instructors on different subject areas especially on my field of

specialization. In this regard, I have already received certificates from our university as well as

on our municipality. My course equipped me with the knowledge and skills in consonance with

my aim in honing young minds of learners.

Being an enthusiast in joining school activities and organization way back in high school

such as spelling and quiz bees in other subject areas such as Science, English and Math and a

school newspaper writer, these experiences really contribute a lot to perform my task in a very

competitive manner.

In addition, I’ve also done tutorials that supplemented my prior learning about teaching.

The opportunity of exposing myself in the world of teaching especially in the field of Language

Teaching was a great chance that further expand my horizon in this profession.
