General procedure for PPD bottle test

test
1) Collect fresh samples
representative for each field and zone
2) Heat each sample separately up to
160 °F to simulate down hole
temperature as possible.
3) Blend the crude samples with the
production ratios.
4) Pour in 100 ml graduated bottles.
5) Let the bottles to cool to 135 °F,
which represent the well head
temperature.
6) Inject the chemicals assigned for
the wells at different dosage rates.
7) Shake the bottles 25 times.
8) Cool to the 110 °F, which represent
Separator temperature.
9) Heat to 140 °F, which represent
Heater temperature.
10) Inject chemicals at different
dosage rates.
11) Shake 25 times.
12) After 30 minutes, re-shake 25
times.
13) After another 90 minutes, transfer
to water bath at 100 °F (tank temp.).
14) Now, the sample is ready to
conduct the different tests.
