Test procedure for oil in water by N-

Hexane
1- Take a Sample 100- ml from water and added 10 of N-
hexane
( 10 % from sample ) .
2- Added drops ot HCL quid to remove H25 gas
3- Filtr ate the mix ( water + N- hexane) by tilter pa per
4- Take 10 ml trom till rate in 10 ml sample cell ot
HACH .
5- Rotate the wavelength ot HACH to 500nm .
6- press shift then % T ( 7 )
7- place the blank sample in to the cell holder ( N –
hexane ) and
press ZERO
8- place the sample in to the cell holder and press
READING .
9- Determine the O/W from the calibration table .
10- Calculate the O/ W by ppM from the following
equation :

O/ W (PPM) = O/W from the calibration table
