Consumer Perception and Consumer Satisfaction for UCP Cafeteria

Abstract
The purpose of this research is to get to know what image Ucp cafeteria
has perceived in the minds of students, and weather they satisfy their
requirements or not. UCP cafeteria lacks in providing quality services in
comparison to cafeteria of competitor universities. We are conducting this
research to improve it or to replace it.

Introduction

In restaurant and cafeteria business, the perception of consumers is based on the


perception of what is received and what is given to them. The consumers make
monetary sacrifice with the risk of what they will receive. Service quality is necessary for
consumer satisfaction, so we will investigate whether UCP cafeteria meets their
customer’s expectations or not.
Food service requirements of university students need to be researched. While the
importance of offering quality educations is necessary for gaining attention of a number
of undergraduate students, paying attention on making food quality and service
excellent and Improved can also attract a lot of undergraduate students. The number of
undergraduate students is increasing on yearly basis and the new generation is attracted
towards Exotic restaurants and Cafes.
A large amount of students come form different cities and they live in Hostels away
from their families and University needs to Take action and improve student retention.
