RESULTS AND DISCUSSION

The gathered data from the informant interview was read several times and

thoroughly analyzed in

order to obtain descriptive substance of feelings from their experiences. From the

interview transcript,

significant statements were obtained. Formulated meanings were created out of

the significant

statements. Similar formulated meanings were grouped to form cluster themes

and from these themes,

emergent themes were identified. These emergent themes answer the sub

problems of the study

namely, the experiences of SSG Officer in Kawayan National High School.

As noted, there were eight(8)cluster themes in which four(5)emergent themes

were determined. Two

(2)emergent theme describe the positive experiences and two(2)emergent

themes for negative

experiences of the informants. The other remaining one(1)emergent theme

explained the details on

the problems encountered as SSG Officer in Kawayan National High School.

The following emergent themes, to wit:

I. Positive Experiences of SSG Officer in Kawayan National High School

1.Honor and Contentment

2.Capacity and Capability

II.Negative Experiences-of SSG Officer in Kawayan National High School

1.Disappointment and Dissatisfaction

Positive Experiences of SSG Officer in Kawayan National High School.

There are two emergent themes under the positive experiences of SSG Officer in

Kawayan National High

1.Honor and Contentment. One of the purposes of the interview was know the

experiences of the informants of SSG Officer in Kawayan National High School. Results

revealed that the informants are proud and found satisfaction upon performing their

duties and responsibilities. As such, the received honor and that they have contentment

about their job. It is very significant that the informants to the responses while accepting

their fate as being SSG officer, they are happy serving the Students as experiences of

the informants will serve as an inspiration to other officers.Futhermore, following deeply

leadership as SSG Officer in Kawayan National High School? “Informant 1 disclosed

that that:
There is only one emergent theme is identified which describes the problems

encountered by the SSG Officer in Kawayan National High School. This theme

describes the feelings of the informants while working with deficiency, insufficient

manpower and lack of facilities on the part of the administrators.

1.Inadequacy.Managing a high school and bringing together departments and

campuses to achieve the mission is always a big challenge for school

management.

Transforming schools system with high technology-enabled automation tools to

supply the academic and administrative processes will make it easy to achieve their

goals.

To succeed in everyday tasks of schools, there is an emerging demand to

modernize public education system with cloud, mobile and digital technologies to

improve operational efficiency and manage the institution effectively. Context,

dissatisfaction theory treats them as a part of the content of an assertion which is

marked as Backgrounder. It show that this approach captures much of what is attractive

about standard theories, while making more plausible predictions about presuppositions

under connectives and attitude predicates-avoiding, in particular, the weak predictions

that lead to the proviso problem.

2.Incognizance. Display of ignorance evidence-based practice begins with high

quality assessment of the

individual,group,or system receiving

intervention(Gambrill,1999;Ollendick&King,1999;Silverman&

Saavedra,2004;Thyer,2002).Currently,the"quality"of assessment instruments is

primarily tested and

reported by instrument developers in terms of statistical reliability and validity, for

example, strong

factor performance, internal consistency reliability, and high correlations

representing criterion and

construct validity. Good psychometric characteristics, however, are only one

component of instrument

quality. A strong and relevant theoretical foundation is another important

component(DeVellis,1991).

For example, from the ecological perspective taken by social workers, adequate

pre-intervention

assessment requires examination of the social environment,or"social

contexts"(Ollendick&King,

1999)of individuals or families.

Developmental validity,i.e.,the appropriateness of items and format for the

developmentally-

dependent abilities of target respondents, is a third critical, but rarely reported

aspect of instrument
quality(Bowen,N.K.,Bowen,&Woolley,2004;Woolley,Bowen,&Bowen,2004).In

self-report

instruments for children, developmental validity requires assurances that items

can be read,

understood, and answered by children in the targeted age range in ways that are

consistent with the

assumptions and expectations of the adults interpreting the results of the

assessment. Developmental

validity also encompasses what Oleic and King(1999)refer to as"sensitivity”to

development, or the

appropriateness of different assessment procedures for children of different

ages. Developmental

sensitivity in self-report instruments might include brevity and the use of a format

that sustains

children's interest and attention.

Finally, high quality instruments for evidence-based practice require “practice

validity. “For an

instrument to have practice validity it must enhance practitioner knowledge of

factors that are relevant

to the outcomes of interest in a practice setting, and that are targetable with

existing evidence-based
practices. Theoretical and developmental validity are likely to enhance, but do

not guarantee, the

practice validity of instruments. A theoretically and developmentally sound

instrument for school-based

practitioners, for example, must also address knowledge gaps among school

staff, assess factors that

influence students ‘social and academic performance, and assess factors that

can be targeted with

existing or emerging evidence-based practices that are feasible in school

settings. Statistically,

theoretically, and developmentally valid instruments that do not enhance users

‘knowledge of relevant

and targetable domains have little practical utility and could,in fact, have

deleterious effects to the

extent they waste practitioners ‘limited time and resources.

Ill. Problems Encountered as SSG Officer in Kawayan National High School.

1.Honor and Contentment

His theme describes job satisfaction for excellent performance as an

athlete.ltivey
satisfying and cheerful experience tor

deceive a certificate and wordily is certainly means

trait you’ve done a whole bunch of things right Receiving recognition from you

errors

definitely a feel good “emotion

In this study, the informants were appreciated is a positive impact that radiate to,

their

Co-athletes., Praise and recognition are essential to an outstanding school or

event

2.Capacity and Capability. Second emergent theme identified in the positive

experiences. Systems

rely on a huge amount of human interaction. Every system relies on time being

kept, progress and

problems being reported, and rules being followed. Capacity building involves

strengthening the

individual ability of people to function or perform tasks. It therefore, focuses on

skills training and

improving technical ability among individuals. But people change, they move

aroundl,they leave. Capacity

building involves pushing boundaries, developing and strengthening, and making

an individual or

organization better able to serve not only in the primary interest of its targeted

population groups as

well as all of its stakeholders.

II.Negative Experiences of SSG Officer in Kawayan National High School

While the informants of this study had positive experiences, negative

experienced therefore was also

encountered by the informants consist of Disappointment and Dissatisfaction and

Incognizance

1.Dissatisfaction and Disappointment. The Informants described their frustrating

experiences such

as lack of budget and discipline, not informed about the school laws and hard

headed students.

Dissatisfied other students tend to spend less time focusing on their job duties

and more time discussing

with family, friends and co-officers why they are unhappy at work. For the SSG

Officer in Kawayan

National High School I motivated and attended to detail of implementing the laws

to the violators that

are ignorant of the school served as a challenge for them to perform and aiming

for the best, make the

most of their work time in order to deliver quality services in the school.

This idea dissatisfaction theory avoids the proviso problem by adopting two

changes in perspective on

presupposition.First, dissatisfaction theory adopts a new algorithm for

presupposition projection,

according to which presuppositions project unless they are locally

entailed.Second,unlike standard

theories, which treat presuppositions as contents which must be entailed by the

antecedent

leadership knowledge, skills and attitudes. It trains students to become better

members

of society in accordance with the ideals and principles of participatory democracy

and

good citizenship. More importantly, it helps the Department of Education(DepEd)

achieve its thrusts as indicated in the Education for All(EFA)Goals, Millennium

Development Goals(MDGs)and the Basic Education Social Reform

Agenda(BESRA)
2.In order to synchronize its programs, projects and activities(PPAs),the following

are

mandated to be implemented annually by the SSG in the school and community:

1.organize the participation of students and volunteers in the annual Brigada

Eskwela;

2.lead/participate in the National Greening Program(NGP)and other environment-

related activities;

3.conduct activities and awareness campaigns to encourage parents to enlist

their

five-year old children for kindergarten;

4.conduct book and toy drive and other school supplies for donation to schools

with

kindergarten;

5.conduct activities to prevent students from dropping-out of schools;

6.conduct English Speaking Campaigns, and Reading and Tutorial Services;

7.conduct activities to support Anti-Drug Abuse Education and Campaign;

8.assist in ensuring that the school is a smoke/tobacco free place;

9.lead students in organizing activities which start during the Teachers ‘Month

Campaign every September and which culminate during the World Teachers7
Day celebration on October 5;and

10.encourage and support the participation of students in recognized co-

curricular

clubs/organizations and activities.

This study was anchored on the following theories: Theory of

Knowledge(TOK)Theory of knowledge is a

required core subject in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programmatic

receives a letter grade

like the Extended Essay, and combines with the latter to contribute numerically to

the awarding of the

full IB Diploma.

Lastly, the Road Safety Theory is an analytic structure designed to explain a set

of empirical observations

concerning road safety does two things:1.ldentifies this set of distinct

observations as classes of

phenomena, and 2.Makes assertions about the underlying reality that brings

about or affects this

class. As part of a road safety theory with different hierarchical universes a safety

strategy can be
developed subsequently. The road safety theory should be considered as an

analytic tool to understand

the elements, interlinks and interactions related to road safety and their

implications for optimizing the

overall safety of school.

I. Positive Experiences of SSG Officer in Kawayan National High School

There are two emergent themes for the positive experiences of KNHS athletes

an

those were Honor and Contentment and Capacity and Capability. This themes

mark

statement of agreement of the informants in doing their jobs as an athlete.

Honors

bestowed as recognition of outstanding achievement and as means to further

encourage

excellent performance for a job and contentment for the happiness and job

satisfaction.

Ahmmm sa giingun nako ganina problems didtu ang budget og ang mga

attitudes sa mga
students.12:SS18(Ahmm as l have told earlier the problem is the budget and the

attitudes of the

students.

Informant 5 confidently disclosed by saying that:

"Well I must say that the biggest problem that our school was facing right now is

merely not those the

garbage’s not those the classroom problems but merely it was this students

because some of our

students here in Kawayan National High School don't have any discipline in their

selves though minsan

parang nawawalan na sila ng respeto each other especially to their

teachers."15:SS48(Well must say

that the biggest problem that our school was facing right now is merely not those

the garbage’s not

those the classroom problems but merely it was this students because some of

our students here in

Kawayan National High School don't have any discipline in their selves though

sometimes they don't

have any respect from each other especially to their teachers.)

Informant 10 shared his problem encountered by saying that:

"Problem...ahmmm...Siguro ang problem kung unsaon pag manage og

plano.110:SS98

(Problem...ahmmm...1 think the problem is how to manage the plan.

Analyzing on this narratives. The SSG Officer in Kawayan National High School

met several problems like

caught expired registration both truck and motorcycle, no licensed drivers. Lack

of personnelmulti-

tasking and budgel, mobility and still they can manage and look for wavs and

means to stand up and

implement the SSG Officer in Kawayan National High School in the service of

their students and of the

School. For them understanding and patience for the school violators and focused

and dedication

towards this challenging job for us to deliver an excellent goods to our clientele.

their

2.Incongnizance.Display of ignorance on the part of the school corruptions and

ignorance of the

school law.As a matter of fact,Informant 7 pointed out that:

Like to be late at school.

Informant 8 said that:

Panagsa ako ra usa.(Sometimes when Im alone.)

18:5576

Informant 9 Stressed out that:

Katong nami mga platform pero wala namo matupad.(When we have platform

19:5586

Ill.Problems Encountered as SSG Officer in Kawayan National High School

In every implementation or enforcement of the law, series of problems behind

it.When asked the

respondents to please describe to us the problems encountered in implementing

the SSG Officer in

Kawayan National High School, there is only one emergent as stated below.

1.Inadequacy.Deficiency and insufficient manpower and facility on the part of the

administration.

Upon listening to the statement, informant 1 saying that:

"The most problem as an SSG,there is no financial and no money".11:SS8

Informant 2 agreed with the statement of informant 1 that:

II.Negative Experiences of the SSG Officers in Kawayan National High School

Negative experiences of the informants was taken into consideration. Two themes

from these
experiences came out:

1.Disappointment and Disatisfaction. The informants described their fraustrating

experiences such

as corruption and deception on the part of the violators ignorance of the RA

4136,not informed about

the school laws and hard headed students. This findings connotes that when

informant 2 voiced out

that:

Sometimes I am sad if there is a student who don't appreciates of what we've

done then I don't like also

that a student getting angry even though they don't know the feelings as an SSG

Officer.12:SS16

Meanwhile, informant 5 agreed the informant 2 saying that:

"Well those are the time when we&my council ah...cannot agree in acertain

matter&those times na

hindi mi magkasundo sa mga bagay bagay especially those times na..hindi kami

masyadong

nagkatulong-tulungan sa pig achieve in that certain goal, minsan as a president I

felt sad angry with them

and still at the end of the day nawawala din yun tumutulong din nman

sila.15:SS46(Well those are the

time when we&my council ah...cannot agree in certain matter&those times that

we don't understand

from each other to the things especially those times that we don't usually helping

to achieve in that

certain goal, sometimes as a president felt sad, angry with them and still at the

end of the day it will gone

because they will also help.)

Upon listening the informant 5,informant 6 pointed out that:

"I think that times that we are complete so we cant make the one that we want to

make because we are

not complete.16:SS56

Meanwhile Informant 10 asked to narrated his experience that:

Usahay busy ka kaayo kanang prob...trabahuon sa atong....Hahahaha kuan wait
