MIDDLE SCHOOL

Teachers will communicate with students and families through Google Classroom, email, or video
conferencing.
 Students are expected to engage in at least 3 hours of learning activities from the Grade Level
and Project-Based Choice Boards each school day.
 Students should read for at least 30 minutes every day.
 Students should engage in physical activity for at least 30 minutes every day.
 Students will be expected to complete the following number of activities from the Grade Level
Choice Board each week
 Core Academics: 4-5 activities per week
 World Language (grade 7 & 8): 2-3 activities per week
 Allied Arts and World Language (grade 6): 1 activity from each allied art class that they are
enrolled in per week
 Students will be expected to complete at least one Project-Based Choice Board activity before
they return to school.

Choice Boards will be updated every Tuesday. Students will be asked to submit the previous week’s
work to teachers on Monday. It is the expectation that students submit complete their work. Student
work will not be given traditional grades at this time, but teachers will offer feedback to students on
submitted work. Upon return to our traditional school day, participation credit will be incorporated
into future student grading.
